Nanoporous structures play a critical role in a wide range of applications, including catalysis, thermoelectrics, energy storage, gas adsorption, and thermal insulation. However, their thermal instability remains a persistent challenge. Inspired by the extraordinary resilience of tardigrades, an "atomic armor" strategy is introduced to enhance the stability of nanoporous structures.

Staphylococcus aureus () is a clinically significant pathogenic bacterium. Daptomycin (DAP) is a cyclic lipopeptide antibiotic used to treat infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, including . However, DAP currently faces clinical limitations due to its short half-life, toxic side effects, and increasingly severe drug resistance issues.

Tumor cell-derived exosomes (TEXs) obtain the characteristics of the tumor cells, which meanwhile transfer the various substances from the tumor cells to regulate the other cells and microenvironments. TEXs play an important role in the pathogenesis of tumors, which can promote the progression, metastasis and recurrence of tumors.

Background: Given the limited research on the association between air pollutants and musculoskeletal diseases (MDs), our study aimed to examine how exposure to air pollutants influenced the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders.
Methods: We extracted daily air pollutants and musculoskeletal diseases data from 2019 to 2022 in Yangzhou. The combined effects of air pollutants particulate matte 2.
The hollow-core anti-resonant fiber (HC-ARF) has attracted a great deal of interest due to its unique fiber properties. However, it still is a challenging work to design a HC-ARF with simple structure that can further reduce the loss while maintaining wide bandwidth and good single-mode characteristics. Based on this, we proposed two kinds of single-layer nested waterdrop-shaped anti-resonance nodeless fibers (NWANFs), and implemented a comparative study with previously proposed nested anti-resonant nodeless fiber and nested elliptical anti-resonant nodeless fiber in terms of confinement loss (CL), total loss, bending loss, and single-mode characteristics.

The aim of CELST is to recover the distribution of luminescent probes from emission photons. However, CELST images tend to suffer from low resolution and degraded image quality due to light multiple scattering and limited boundary measurements.

This study shows how high adhesion in a saline environment can be achieved in adhesive peptide systems relying on π-π and cation-π interactions using multivalent ions. Monovalent ions (K) disrupt native peptide-peptide interactions, drastically reducing adhesion strength.

Emerging investigations into the gut-vaginal microbiome axis have unveiled novel pathogenic mechanisms and potential diagnostic targets in ovarian carcinogenesis. This comprehensive review systematically examines the compositional alterations in and functional interplay between vaginal and intestinal microbial communities in ovarian cancer patients.

Chitosan polysaccharides and collagen, derived from natural products, are important macromolecular compounds with extensive applications in many fields. In the past decade, substantial progress has been made in studying chitosan-collagen (CS-Col) composite biomaterials. Based on the morphology of materials, this work systematically reviews CS-Col composite biomaterials including nanoparticles, nanofibers, hydrogels, three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting scaffolds, films, and sponges.

Intratumoral heterogeneity and the coexistence of diverse resistance mechanisms make combination therapies focused on single molecules or pathways clinically ineffective. Here, our study demonstrated that glimepiride, a sulfonylurea drug, reversed and delayed acquired resistance to EGFR TKIs in lung cancer.

While DEHP/MEHP has been linked to various health risks, the underlying mechanisms between DEHP/MEHP exposure and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remain poorly understood. This study aims to explore this relationship using a comprehensive approach integrating epidemiology, Mendelian randomization (MR), network toxicology, and animal experiments.

Mice deficient in IL-10 (IL-10) progressively develop features of idiopathic enterocolitis as they mature. To advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underpinning chronic enterocolitis in IL-10 mice, we performed an extensive analysis of the transcriptome and proteome of colonic tissue from these mice manifesting colitis.

Background: Biological Age Acceleration (BAA), as quantified by epigenetic clocks, is a well-established biomarker for mortality and age-related morbidity. This study aimed to investigate the independent and combined associations of sleep duration, sedentary behavior, and physical activity with BAA risk.
Methods: Leveraging the UK Biobank cohort, we conducted multiple linear regression analyses to assess the relationships between modifiable lifestyle factors and BAA.
A bifunctional fluorescent and colorimetric sensor based on UiO-66-NH₂@RhB was developed for the highly sensitive detection of perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS), a persistent environmental pollutant. The sensing mechanism relies on the inner filter effect (IFE), where Rhodamine B (RhB) modulates the fluorescence of UiO-66-NH₂, enabling effective PFOS recognition. In the presence of PFOS, UiO-66-NH@RhB exhibits dual emissions in blue fluorescence at 448 nm and red fluorescence at 565 nm at a single excitation wavelength.
