Skin defects caused by inflammation, burns, or infections typically require functional wound dressings to promote healing. Hydrogels with three-dimensional hydrophilic porous structures provide a favorable microenvironment for the migration and proliferation of cells involved in wound healing. As a key biomolecular component of the extracellular matrix (ECM), collagen can self-assemble into collagen-based hydrogels.

AGS, a spherical or ellipsoidal granular sludge formed through microbial self-aggregation under aerobic conditions, progresses through four distinct life-cycle stages in the AGS-MBR system: initial, growth, mature, and cleaved. Accurate identification and classification of these stages are crucial for optimizing AGS-MBR operations and maintaining system stability; however, traditional monitoring methods are labor-intensive and error-prone.

An integrated analytical framework (Measurement-Assessment-Identification) was developed to measure carbon dioxide emissions from the WP&S industry (WP&S-CO emissions), assess the CO emissions reduction potential of the WP&S industry (WP&S-CRP), and identify the key driving forces of WP&S-CRP. In the measurement module, a method for measuring CO emissions specific to the WP&S industry is proposed.

Although existing studies have acknowledged the impacts of Hofstede's cultural dimensions on the proactive behaviors of employees or innovations in various contexts, they have not examined the mediating role of proactive behavior between Hofstede's cultural dimensions and entrepreneurial innovativeness. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the mediating impact of proactive behavior between six of Hofstede's cultural dimensions and entrepreneurial innovativeness. Data were collected through standardized surveys from 150 retail entrepreneurs running businesses in China.

Twenty participants aged 65-74 received training in stabilometer stance, visually aligning plate movement with a horizontal line on a monitor. Pre-test and post-test measured posture fluctuations and scalp EEG during stabilometer stance.

Objective: This study aims to improve the performance of auditory brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) by developing two-target and three-target paradigms based on steady-state motion auditory evoked potential (SSMAEP) using low-frequency stimuli in a spatial audio environment. SSMAEP is elicited by auditory stimuli exhibited by periodic and discrete changes in auditory spatial position.
Methods: We designed a periodic auditory motion stimulation paradigm to evoke SSMAEP.
Modern video games are increasingly aiming for more natural interactions and healthier gaming experiences. Haptic devices, in particular, can enhance these experiences by providing multimodal feedback and simulating a variety of body postures. However, limited attention has been paid to utilizing upper limb wearable haptic devices in video games.

A comprehensive analysis of cellular communication demands the consideration not only of the binding between ligands and receptors but also of a series of downstream signal transduction reactions within cells. Thanks to the advancements in spatial transcriptomics technology, we are now able to better decipher the process of cellular communication within the cellular microenvironment.

Background: Recent advancements in methodologies and technologies have enabled the simultaneous measurement of multiple omics data, which provides a comprehensive understanding of cellular heterogeneity. However, existing methods have limitations in accurately identifying cell types while maintaining model interpretability, especially in the presence of noise.
Methods: We propose a novel method called scMFG, which leverages feature grouping and group integration techniques for the integration of single-cell multi-omics data.

CAAT/Enhancer Binding Protein β (C/EBPβ) is associated with inflammatory responses in neurodegenerative pathologies, particularly in the brain. However, the regulatory role of C/EBPβ in spinal cord injury and its impact on neurological recovery remain unknown. In this study, we observed significant upregulation of C/EBPβ in microglia after spinal cord injury in mice and was associated with neuroinflammation.

To explore the dynamic interplay between visual inputs and motor outputs, it is necessary to simultaneously record multiple brain activities with high temporal and spatial resolution, as well as to record implicit and explicit behaviors. However, there is a lack of public datasets that provide simultaneous multiple modalities during a visual-motor task.

However, existing RNA velocity methods are limited by the batch effect because they cannot directly correct for batch effects in the input data, which comprises spliced and unspliced matrices in a proportional relationship. This limitation can lead to an incorrect velocity stream.

This retrospective study evaluates the clinical profiles and prognostic elements impacting survival and recurrence rates in patients who underwent SL.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 288 patients who underwent SL from January 2010 to December 2023.
Background: The esophageal mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasm (MiNEN) is an extremely rare but poor prognosis tumor.
Objectives: This retrospective study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of MiNEN and to investigate postoperative survival and prognostic factors.
Design: This retrospective study analyzed 69 patients diagnosed with esophageal MiNEN at two major esophageal cancer centers in China from January 2000 to December 2021.
Background: The use of near-infrared lasers for transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) offers a non-invasive method for influencing brain activity and is beneficial for various neurological conditions. However, comprehensive quantitative studies on its safety are lacking.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the safety of 1064-nm laser-based tPBM across brain structure, brain function, neural damage, cognitive ability and tolerance.
Purpose: To explore the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in patients with spinal cord injury (SCI).
Methods: This cross-sectional study included data from 382 participants with SCI. The SII was calculated for all participants.
Background: Earlier research has reported that transcription factors play a crucial role in the anti-tumorigenic immune response of lung cancer patients. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between post-translational modifications of transcription factors and histological fate and patient prognosis.
Methods: Based on the information of 293 lung cancer patients in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to the interferon regulatory factor (IRF) and signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) families between patients experiencing early death and those with long-term survival were identified and characterized.

Vitreoretinal diseases pose significant threats to vision, often requiring vitrectomy and substitution of vitreous humor to restore ocular structure and visual function. However, existing substitutes have limitations that compromise patient outcomes. Supramolecular hydrogels, particularly peptide-based formulations, have emerged as promising alternatives due to their superior optical clarity, biocompatibility, and viscoelasticity.

AlphaFold recently achieved promising performances when predicting protein tertiary structures, and the AlphaFold protein structure database (AlphaFold DB) is fast-expanding. Therefore, we aimed to develop a deep-learning tool that is specifically trained with AlphaFold models and predict GO terms from AlphaFold models.
