Influenza virus neuraminidase (NA) is receiving increasing attention as a target for universal flu vaccines. Several broad NA inhibition monoclonal antibodies (BImAbs) targeting the highly conserved enzymatic pocket have been previously described. However, the molecular characteristics, clonal evolutionary trajectory, and B cell sources of BImAbs remain poorly understood.

The accurate detection of Al ions is crucial for preventing their accumulation and mitigating adverse effects on human health. Herein, a luminescent metal-organic framework (MOF), FJU-40-NH, has been designed for selective aluminum ion (Al) detection with a significantly enhanced fluorescence response.

Copper dysregulation has been linked to human health, disorders, and hematopoiesis. However, the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we demonstrate the pivotal role of dietary copper via the transporter Slc31a1(Ctr1) in copper homeostasis, but not cuproptosis, during postnatal hematopoiesis.

Identifying broadly reactive B precursor cells and conserved epitopes is crucial for developing a universal flu vaccine. In this study, using influenza neuraminidase (NA) mutant probes, we find that human pre-existing NA-specific memory B cells (MBCs) account for ∼0.25% of total MBCs, which are heterogeneous and dominated by class-unswitched MBCs.

More knowledge is needed to regard the prolonged effects of intensive exercise in relatively frail hip fracture patients. In this meta-analysis, we want to determine whether intensity strength training in patients after hip fracture is superior to general exercises in improving physical function.

Purpose: Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) is the primary treatment for hip diseases today. Nevertheless, total hip arthroplasty has its challenges, and one of these challenges is the potential for incorrect execution of the preoperative planning process. Such errors can lead to complications such as loosening and instability of the prosthesis and leg length discrepancy.

Accordingly, the aim of this study was to achieve an anatomical reduction in the first manipulation of reduction in femoral neck fractures. We propose a new reduction strategy using the x-ray morphology of femoral neck fractures for preoperative planning.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of combining endobronchial tamponade with bronchial artery embolization (BAE) in the treatment of massive hemoptysis.
Methods: Between March 2018 and March 2022, a total of 67 patients with massive hemoptysis who underwent BAE were divided into two groups: the combination group (n = 26) and the BAE group (n = 41).
The innate immune response to viruses is formed in part by interferon (IFN)-induced restriction factors, including ISG15, p21, and SAMHD1. IFN production can be blocked by the ISG15-specific protease USP18. HIV-1 has evolved to circumvent host immune surveillance.

The length of hospital stay, duration of surgery, intraoperative blood loss, quality of reduction, extent of femoral neck shortening, incidence of femoral neck shortening, femoral neck shortening at each follow-up visit, Harris hip score (HHS), reoperation, and complications were compared between the two groups.
Results: The median follow-up time was 28.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of pre-sliding of the femoral neck system (FNS) in the prevention of postoperative femoral neck shortening in femoral neck fractures.
Method: This study was designed to retrospectively analyze data from 109 patients with femoral neck fractures who were admitted to a Level I trauma center between April 2020 and June 2022. Of these patients, 90 were followed up for more than 12 months.
There are many problems in the arc welding repair of aluminum alloy parts, such as excessive pores, coarse grains, and low hardness. Introducing external energy excitation is an effective solution. In this paper, 7075 aluminum alloy parts are repaired using the arc welding - laser shock forging technique.

Signal transduction and regulation of this cascade is achieved by post-translational modifications. Here we show that cGAS-STING-dependent HIV-1 sensing requires interferon-stimulated gene 15 (ISG15).

Purpose: Postoperative limb length discrepancy (LLD) is a common complication of total hip arthroplasty, and several methods exist to prevent LLD, but each has its benefits and drawbacks. The study investigates the application of intraoperative lower limb length measurement in preventing postoperative LLD.
Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed 70 patients who underwent total hip arthroplasty from October 2018 to July 2022.
Objective: To investigate the effects of postoperative femoral neck shortening in patients with femoral neck fractures fixed with femoral neck system screws (FNS) and to explore the factors influencing femoral neck shortening.
Method: To retrospectively analyze the data of 113 patients with femoral neck fractures admitted to the Second Hospital of Fuzhou City, affiliated with Xiamen University, between December 2019 and January 2022. Of these, 87 patients were followed up for more than 12 months, 49 men and 38 women: 36 cases of Garden I and II fractures and 51 cases of Garden III and IV fractures, to record the patient's hip Harris score at 12 months postoperatively.

NaV(PO)OF (NVPOF) is considered a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) on account of its attractive electrochemical properties such as high theoretical capacity, stable structure, and high working platform. Nevertheless, the inevitable interface problems like sluggish interfacial electrochemical reaction kinetics and poor interfacial ion storage capacity seriously hinder its application. Construction of chemical bonding is a highly effective way to solve interface problems.

The following information was evaluated at admission: age, gender, clinical features, number of white blood cells (WBCs), neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, red blood cells (RBCs), platelets, level of hemoglobin, C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), as well as NLR, MLR, and PLR.
As a metal surface strengthening technology, oblique laser shock peening uses the force effect of pulsed laser beams to significantly improve the mechanical properties of materials and prolong service life. However, the processing of metal parts still requires a high cost for testing the quality of the finished product. At present, there is no systematic and complete measurement method or evaluation system for the finished products of oblique laser shock peening technology.

Other retroviral accessory proteins such as the glycosylated Gag (glycoGag) from the murine leukemia virus (MLV) can also antagonize SER5. In addition, some viruses escape SER5 restriction by expressing a SER5-insensitive envelope (Env) glycoprotein.
