Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Pollution Monitoring and Control, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Modern Analytical Science and Separation Technology, College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Environment, Minnan Normal University, Zhangzhou 363000, China.

This study presents the development of a novel bimetallic-doped metal-organic gel (Tb-Eu-MOG) synthesized by codoping terbium (Tb(III)) and europium (Eu(III)) with the Hcptpy ligand and explores its application in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) for sensitive detection of epinephrine (EP). The Tb-Eu-MOG exhibits unique petal nanoflower-like morphology and remarkable ECL signals, attributed to the dual sensitization effects of Tb(III) and Eu(III) on the Hcptpy ligand. The Tb(III) doping facilitates energy transfer and enhances ECL efficiency through a staircase effect.

An innovative amine-enriched vertically-ordered mesoporous silica film (VMSF) on indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes (A-VMSF/ITO) utilizing an anionic template strategy was successfully developed, resulting in the inner walls of the nanochannel being adorned with well-ordered and abundant tertiary amine groups. In the context of A-VMSF/ITO, the elevated solution conductivity not only facilitates the permeation of Ru(bpy) within nanochannels by compressing the inner electric double layer (EDL), but also greatly improves the electron-transfer efficiency that is critical for enhanced electrochemiluminescence (ECL) generation. Therefore, the A-VMSF/ITO platform exhibited a consistent increase in ECL intensity with rising ionic strength.

Crab triggers severe IgE-mediated allergic reactions. A rabbit anti-IgG antibody induced by hypoallergenic derivatives of Scy p 1 (mtScy p 1) effectively blocked wild-type Scy p 1 (wtScy p 1) binding to serum IgE; however, its protection against allergic symptoms needs to be further studied. In this paper, rabbit anti-mtScy p 1 IgG antibody could inhibit wtScy p 1-induced basophil degranulation, mainly due to the overlap of 2 IgG conformational epitopes and 4 IgG linear epitopes with IgE epitopes.

In response to the severe continuous cropping obstacles encountered during the cultivation of passion fruit, which leads to significant declines in yield and quality, as well as rampant pests and diseases, it is particularly important to explore strategies for mitigating these obstacles. The present study used the rhizosphere soil samples from one-year-old (FY, first-year cropping) and two-year-old (SY, second-year cropping) "Golden Passion Fruit" plants, along with soil from uncropped land (CK) as a control and the techniques such as high-throughput sequencing, qRT-PCR, and HPLC-MS to analyze the main physicochemical properties, phenolic acid content, and microbial community changes in the rhizosphere soil of passion fruit under different continuous cropping durations, the results indicated that the contents of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, and organic matter in FY soil were significantly higher than those in SY soil, and the pH value of the FY soil was also significantly higher than that of SY soil. Additionally, compared with FY soil, the activities of polyphenol oxidase, peroxidase, urease, and invertase in SY soil were significantly reduced by 18.

Self-lubricating rolling linear guides are high value-added, maintenance-free rolling functional components. In this article, a porous media with a directional pore structure is prepared by PTFE and pore forming agent naphthalene, the design of the slider end structure is optimized, and the oil film thickness of the rolling linear guide under different operating speeds, loads, and operating mileage are tested and tracked by a spectrometer to provide a comprehensive analysis of the self-lubricating performance of the rolling linear guide. The research results indicate that the oil film thickness is directly proportional to the slider operating speed, while the effects of load and operating mileage on the oil film thickness are not significant.

Tactile perception is important for the robots to understand their working environment. While in real-world applications, robots usually must face unexpected changes in external conditions, such as the re-installation of the robot end effector or the change of the installation location. Consequently, the collected tactile material data tend to vary to a certain extent, which brings great difficulties to the tactile perception.

Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, the primary fungal pathogen responsible for mango anthracnose, causes significant economic losses. Hence, we developed a xanthan gum/hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (XG/HPMC) film incorporating Dictyophora echinovolvata carbon quantum dots (DE-CQDs). These green-synthesized DE-CQDs are 2 nm spherical nanoparticles with good crystallinity and thermal stability, featuring functional groups such as -OH, -COOH, -NH₄, and -SO₃H, which enhance hydrophilicity, solubility, and charge properties.

Mikrochim Acta

September 2024

MOE Key Laboratory for Analytical Science of Food Safety and Biology, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Analysis and Detection Technology for Food Safety, College of Chemistry, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, 350116, China.

A phenyl-modified silica isoporous membrane (Ph-SIM) was prepared on the indium-tin-oxide (ITO) electrode using the electrochemically assisted self-assembly (EASA) method. The resulting Ph-SIM preserved vertically ordered nanochannels while exhibiting outstanding hydrophobicity due to the incorporation of phenyl groups within the nanochannels. As a result, the Ph-SIM/ITO sensor exhibited a remarkable affinity for PCNB extraction through hydrophobic interactions, leading to high detection sensitivity.
