Visible-light-driven photocatalytic water purification has garnered significant attention due to its energy saving, green process, and sustainability. Two-dimensional (2D) carbon-based materials have become strong contenders for photocatalytic water purification due to their distinctive advantages, including rapid charge transfer, low density, and plentiful reactive sites, making them ideal photocatalysts for environmental applications. In this review, the mechanisms underlying photocatalytic water purification is firstly elaborated in depth.

Passivators used for surface passivation typically contain monofunctional groups, including sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen. These monodentate groups bind to uncoordinated Pb by sharing electron pairs, thereby reducing surface defects.

The phosphors often created atom vacancies because of the heterovalent substitution and different ion radii. However, how to previously modulate the defect concentration and position in ions doped phosphor is still a great challenge and significantly important for facilitating the optical applications.

Rear-end collisions frequently occurred in the entrance zone of expressway tunnel, necessitating enhanced traffic safety through speed guidance. However, existing speed optimization models mainly focus on urban signal-controlled intersections or expressway weaving zones, neglecting research on speed optimization in expressway tunnel entrances. This paper addresses this gap by proposing a framework for a speed guidance model in the entrance zone of expressway tunnels under a mixed traffic environment, comprising both Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) and Human-driven Vehicles (HVs).

The PI3K/Akt pathway is overexpressed in nearly 50% of hepatocellular carcinomas and inhibits apoptosis by promoting the expression of antiapoptotic genes. Serine protease inhibitors have been shown to induce apoptosis in hepatoma cells by downregulating SPINK13 in the PI3K/Akt pathway. In this study, SPINK13 was expressed in lentiviral vectors.

The doping of Zn in CuBiO promotes the separation and migration of carriers and effectively increases the carrier density. Compared with CuBiO alone, the photoelectrochemical activity of the Zn doped CuBiO photoelectrode is improved with the photocurrent density of -0.

At the Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL), beams with weak currents below 1 µA are often provided for experiments. The detection of such low beam current is below the threshold of typical standard beam current transformers.

Background: Food and nutrition literacy (FNL) plays an important role in young adults' dietary habits and nutrition. This study aimed to investigate FNL status and its associated factors among young adults aged 15-44 years in Shenzhen.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 5,390 participants was conducted in June 2021.
Background: Responsiveness to opioid analgesics differs among patients with acute postoperative pain.
Objective: Our study presents the most recent evidence on the effect of genetic variations on postoperative pain, opioid consumption, nausea, and vomiting in patients treated with opioids.
Study Design: An updated systematic review and meta-analysis on the association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms and opioids administered to patients with acute postoperative pain.
By introducing a third measurement comb with different repetition frequencies ( ), the tri-comb spectroscopy technique overcomes the ambiguity problem of the original dual-comb spectroscopy technique and eliminates physical delay stages in multidimensional coherent spectroscopy. Nowadays, tri-comb generation based on three frequency-stabilized comb lasers is overly complicated and costly for many potential applications. Previous research on single-cavity dual-combs inspired research on single-cavity tri-combs.

In this study, a novel alternative ZnO (AZO) was prepared and its physicochemical properties were characterized. Animal experiments were further conducted to evaluate the effects of the ZnO forms, the dose of AZO and the combinations with AZO on the growth performance, diarrhea, zinc metabolism and gut barrier function of weaning piglets.

Based the data from the 2019 Global Burden of Diseases (GBD 2019), the joinpoint regression model was used to reflect the temporal trend of the burden of lung cancer attributable to household air pollution, and an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model was used to predict the burden of disease over the next decade. From 1990 to 2019, the age-standardized mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) rates of the Chinese female population were higher than the global rates, and the gap due to residential radon increased over time.

The fundamental and second harmonic signals are retrieved from the BPM electrodes to simultaneously calculate their respective beam positions and phases. All data acquisition and digital signal processing algorithm routines are performed in a field programmable gate array (FPGA).

Current studies have shown that multi-parameter model methods achieve higher accuracy than traditional methods in the process of camera calibration. However, these methods need hundreds or even thousands of images to optimize the camera model, which limits their practical use.

Enhancers can act as cis-regulatory elements to control transcriptional regulation by recruiting transcription factors (TFs) in a distance and orientation-independent manner. However, it is still unclear how p53 participates in the enhancer network as TF in hepatic carcinoma under the condition of DNA damage. A total of 14,286 active enhancers were identified through the integration of stable and unstable enhancer RNAs (eRNAs) captured by CAGE and GRO-seq, respectively.

The Six1 homeoprotein belongs to the Six (sine oculis) transcription factor family, the members of which are known to act as master regulators of development. Six1 is essential for promoting myogenesis during mammalian somitogenesis. Previous studies have shown that Six1 participates in later steps of myogenic differentiation by enhancing early activation of myogenin via binding to the Mef3 site of the myogenin promoter.
