Background: Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a group of rare but life-threatening conditions characterized by bleeding into the alveolar spaces, often associated with various etiologies. Epithelioid sarcoma (ES) is a rare and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma that has never been reported to be associated with DAH.
Methods: We report a rare case of ES in a pediatric patient presenting with DAH and intracranial hemorrhagic lesions.
To tackle the challenges of high draft resistance, limited subsoiling range, and ineffective subsoiling results in conventional subsoiling methods, this study combines the structure of an air cannon with that of a wing-type subsoiler to design a novel pneumatic blast subsoiling device. First, soil bin experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of using the air cannon for pneumatic soil fracturing. A soil model was created in EDEM (Engineering Discrete Element Method)based on field conditions to analyze the subsoiler's force distribution, ensuring the nozzle remains undeformed and the subsoiling process runs smoothly.

Patients with severe burns are highly susceptible to the development of postburn sepsis, a condition influenced by multiple factors, such as bacterial infection of the burn wound, alterations in immune status, and excessive release of inflammatory mediators. This study aimed to investigate the mechanisms by which hydrogen gas treatment exerts its effects on postburn sepsis, with a focus on its influence on inflammatory responses, oxidative stress, and wound healing.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has revolutionized the treatment of haematological malignancies. Challenges in overcoming physical barriers however greatly limit CAR-T cell efficacy in solid tumours. Here we show that an approach based on collagenase nanogel generally improves the outcome of T cell-based therapies, and specifically of CAR-T cell therapy.

Local magnetic modulation, including remagnetization or reassembly, typically requires high fields and temperatures to overcome the coercivity and stringent conditions while suffering from low assembly efficiency or poor spatial resolution. Here, we report a linear magnet composed of a hydrogel (alginate) matrix and precisely discrete phase-change-material (PCM, eicosane) cells containing micro-magnetic particles (NdFeB, ~5 µm).

However, achieving a colorful and efficient RTP in a water-rich hydrogel environment remains challenging. Here, we present a general strategy to fabricate colorful and efficient RTP hydrogels by incorporating compact and hydrophobic nanospheres loaded with chromophores, synthesized via emulsion polymerization, into photocrosslinked hydrogels with oxygen barrier properties.

However, liquids tend to leave residues that contaminate handling tools and compromise volumetric precision, necessitating contactless strategies to prevent liquid loss. Biological and chemical samples carried by fluids can be sensitive to physical stimuli, demanding mild but effective means to preserve integrity.

Based on the elastic-viscoelastic correspondence principle, an analytical expression for viscoelastic stress that simultaneously considers the time-dependent nature of elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio is derived. Based on this, a parametric analysis of the stress distribution in the grain under internal pressure is conducted.

: To compare and analyze the application of a (, Hp) serum antibody typing test (Hp-sATT) and the C-urea breath test (C-UBT) in the diagnosis of Hp infection against an empirical therapy background. : The detection of Hp-sATT using a combination of the quantum dot immunofluorescence method and the C-UBT was carried out in 237 patients who visited the Department of Gastroenterology at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital. The diagnostic consistency and correlation with gastric lesions of the two detection methods were analyzed by integrating the detection results, clinical information, and special staining of Hp in histopathological tissues (SS-Hp).

The intestinal metabolites of Tibetan sheep play a vital role in the integrated regulation of the host and the microbe-gut-brain axis. The current study sought to investigate the characteristics of alterations in rectal metabolites and their functional implications during the cold and warm seasons in Tibetan sheep. A cohort of 12 ewes, approximately 1 week ± 1 month in age, exhibiting good body condition and a similar genetic background, was selected for metabolomic analysis of rectal contents collected during the warm season (August) and the cold season (December).

Ice accumulation on the surface can significantly impact the normal operation of industrial facilities and even lead to damage, resulting in economic losses. Modifying the physical structure and chemical state of the surface can effectively mitigate ice nucleation, growth, and adhesion processes. Building upon previous definitions of ice-phobic surfaces, this review provides a refined definition of ice-phobicity and reviews recent advancements in ice-phobic surfaces research.

This dearomative/ring-opening strategy streamlines the diversity-oriented synthesis (DOS) of α-quaternary 2-fluoroallylic 2-pyrroles with a broad scope and excellent functional group tolerance, which enables the efficient late-stage transformation of complex bioactive molecule-derived -FCPs. Derivation of the resulting fluoroallylic 2-pyrroles to different synthetically useful fluoroallylic 2-pyrrole motifs demonstrated the synthetic value of this methodology.

Methods: A total of 970 subjects (215 in ATB group and 755 in non-ATB group) underwent both an interferon-γ release assay (IGRA) and a TB-DNA PCR assay. Using clinical diagnosis as the gold standard, both qualitative and quantitative test results for IL-2 and IFN-γ were analyzed.

Numerous efforts have been devoted to harvesting sustainable energy from environment. Among the promising renewable resources, ambient heat exhibits attractive prospects due to its ubiquity and inexhaustibility, and has been converted into electricity through water evaporation-induced hydrovoltaic approaches. However, current hydrovoltaic approaches function only in low-humidity environments and continuously consume water.

Existing methods either seek a mixture of distributions across various domains or combine multiple single-source models for weighted fusion in the decision process, with little insight into the distributional discrepancy between different source domains and the target domain. Considering the discrepancies in global and local feature distributions between different domains and the complexity of obtaining category boundaries across domains, this paper proposes a novel Active Dynamic Weighting (ADW) for multi-source domain adaptation.
