Flexible sensors have significant application potential in various areas, such as wearable devices, medical condition monitoring, and smart materials. However, these sensors mostly require integrated external electrodes, resulting in complex structures that limit flexibility and integration. This study integrates an in situ functional core as the electrode and a nanofiber sheath that serves dually as the sensing layer and ion transport channel, thereby simplifying the structural complexity of conventional multilayer sensors.

Previous studies have focused on the relationship between C-reactive protein and Trabecular Bone Score (TBS), but the correlation between C-reactive protein-to-lymphocyte ratio (CLR) and TBS remains unclear. Some studies have shown that of body mass index (BMI) is associated with CLR and TBS, respectively. This study focused on the correlation between CLR and TBS and the mediating effect of BMI based on data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2005 to 2008.

Fibrinogen is a key component of the coagulation cascade, and its structural alterations upon interaction with other substances can impact the function. Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) are a widely used nanomaterial that can enter the blood and interact with fibrinogen. In this study, the molecular mechanism for the formation of fibrinogen-CuO NPs complexes was investigated using spectroscopic techniques, molecular docking and dynamics simulations.

Liver fibrosis is a hepatic scar repair response associated with a wide range of liver injuries, which is mediated by an imbalance between extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis and degradation, leading to massive ECM deposition and disruption of normal liver architecture. Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are the main source of ECM during liver fibrosis and are the first identified cell subpopulation associated with liver fibrosis formation. Various current studies on the mechanism and treatment of liver fibrosis require resting-state HSCs as study subjects.

Burn wound healing is a multifaceted process often complicated by excessive inflammation and impaired keratinocyte function, both of which are key factors contributing to delayed healing. In this study we screened the key miRNA regulating the epithelialization process under oxidative stress conditions through high-throughput sequencing. We identified that miR-192-5p was significantly upregulated in both oxidative stress models of keratinocytes and burn wound tissues, with detrimental effects on keratinocyte proliferation, migration, and apoptosis.

Developing flexible sensors that combine high sensitivity, a wide detection range, and comfortable wearability remains a key challenge in the development of electronic skin. This study presents a breathable, highly sensitive, and wearable piezoresistive sensor based on the preparation of hierarchical microporous PU@MXene + CNT films and single-sided electrodes using a simple and effective method. Distilled water was used as a non-solvent to induce the separation of polyurethane films (PU) with different mass fractions, forming a gradient porous structure with inconsistent pore morphologies in the upper and lower layers.

Facing the requirements of promoting the healthy China initiative and improving people's health, the "bone health program" was proposed in 2024. In-depth development of a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) prevention and control system is of strategic significance to the implementation of the "bone health program". Focusing on osteoporosis(OP), a representative disease affecting people's bone health, this paper concludes that accelerating the research on the prevention and control of OP by TCM is conducive to enhancing the knowledge and awareness of OP among the public, and it is beneficial to revealing the evolutionary pattern of OP and improving the understanding and management of this disease.

Purpose: Immunity, stemness, and DNA damage repair (DDR) are crucial for cancer development and therapy resistance. With advancements in multiomics technology, the exploration of cancers related to immunity, stemness, and the DDR has triggered interest, but the combination of these levels for analyzing multiple cancers remains insufficient.

Methods: In this study, 9906 solid tumor samples from 31 TCGA cancer types were clustered on the basis of the enrichment levels of 13 gene sets associated with stemness, immunity, and DDR.

Intervertebral disc degeneration is a leading cause of lower back pain and is characterized by pathological processes such as nucleus pulposus cell apoptosis, extracellular matrix imbalance, and annulus fibrosus rupture. These pathological changes result in disc height loss and functional decline, potentially leading to disc herniation. This comprehensive review aimed to address the current challenges in intervertebral disc degeneration treatment by evaluating the regenerative potential of stem cell-based therapies, with a particular focus on emerging technologies such as exosomes and gene vector systems.

Introduction: Despite accumulating evidence on central obesity and osteoporosis, the role of a body shape index (ABSI), a nonlinear index quantifying body shape via body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and height, remains controversial and underexplored. Although recent meta-analyses suggest central obesity may modulate fracture risk bidirectionally, no research has comprehensively compared ABSI with traditional adiposity metrics, such as BMI, WC, and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), to predict site-specific changes in bone mineral density (BMD) across anatomical regions.

Methods: This study utilized National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data from 2005 to 2018, involving 12,421 participants.

Purpose: This study, aimed to report the rates and trends of the prevalence, incidence, and years lived with disability caused by neck pain in the general population of China from 1990 to 2021 and forecast the incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life Years (DALYs) from 2022 to 2042.

Methods: We used data from the Global Burden of Diseases Study (GBD) 2021. The annual percentage change (APC) and average APC between 1990 and 2021 were calculated using joinpoint regression analysis.

Trophoblast dysfunction during pregnancy time is majorly involved to lead pathogenesis of preeclampsia. In the present investigation, the facile nanoformulation by Zein protein particles functionalized with hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and co-encapsulated with curcumin and eugenol compounds (Cu/Eu@H-β-CD-ZNPs) is developed to achieve enhanced therapeutic potential in the treatment of preeclampsia. To investigate the positive trophoblast function, trophoblast cells were treated and observed for in vitro cell proliferation, invasion and migration ability under hypoxic condition.

Viral infections contribute to a higher incidence of cancer than any other individual risk factor. This study aimed to compare the clinical and molecular features of four viral-associated cancers: stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), and cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CESC). Patients were categorized based on viral infection status, as provided in the clinical data, into virus-associated and non-virus-associated groups, followed by a comprehensive comparison of clinical and molecular features.

Background: Ultrasound-guided nerve block can be used for perioperative analgesia and can potentially improve the course of recovery. Although iliohypogastric-ilioinguinal nerve block has been successfully used for inguinal hernia surgery, the poor blocking effect of intraoperative traction reflex remains a major drawback of this technique. The main objective of this study was to investigate the feasibility of single-point ultrasound-guided iliohypogastric-ilioinguinal-genitofemoral nerve (GFN) blockage for open anterior inguinal hernia repair in older adults.
