Here we introduce GEE-MEGAN, a cloud-native extension of the widely used MEGAN2.1 model, integrating dynamic satellite-derived land cover and vegetation within Google Earth Engine to produce near-real-time BVOC emissions at 10-30 m resolution, enabling fine-scale tracking of emissions in rapidly changing environments.

Haze events characterized by high particulate matter (PM) levels in China are not only of enormous magnitude but also represent a distinct chemical regime. Once driven by direct emissions, these high-PM episodes are now more affected by secondary aerosol, especially secondary organic aerosol (SOA).

Chronic pain (CP) is highly prevalent, and a substantial proportion of patients concurrently suffer from cardiovascular diseases (CVD), suggesting a complex interplay between these two conditions. CP increases the risk of CVD through multiple mechanisms, including sympathetic overactivation, neuroimmune inflammatory responses, endocrine and metabolic dysregulation, and bidirectional regulation along the heart-brain axis. Moreover, pharmacological treatments traditionally used for CP, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), opioids and related agents, are associated with heightened cardiovascular risks.

Current surgical revascularization treatments are limited by indications, complications, and other constraints, making the identification of novel therapeutic strategies an important objective for CLI management. In this study, we designed and synthesized a novel short peptide, named MY-1, and developed a GelMA/MY-1 hydrogel sustained-release system for local application in a mouse hindlimb ischemia model.

Median interval from diagnosis with AP or TKI therapy failure to achieving a deep molecular response (DMR) was 19 months (interquartile range [IQR], 9-30 months). Median TKI treatment and DMR duration were 108 months (IQR, 72-137 months) and 59 months (IQR, 39-87 months) respectively.

This study conducted a comprehensive characterization of two quinoa protein isolates (QJP1 and QJP3) and two oat protein isolates (OBP3 and OPP4). Results showed that quinoa protein, particularly QJP1, was found to be rich in lysine and, compared with oat protein isolates, exhibited potent antioxidant properties, making it an ideal choice for vegetarians, vegans, and the elderly who require plant-based sources of essential amino acids and antioxidants.

The CRISPR/dCas9 system is a gene editing tool that has proven to be highly efficient and precise. By utilizing transcriptional activators, such as VP64, p65, and Rta, the system can effectively and stably activate target genes. Sox17, a transcription factor belonging to the SOX family, plays a crucial role in the differentiation of the germ layers and the determination of cell fates during the early stages of embryonic development.

This study reveals that ZEN inhibits goat endometrial epithelial cells (EECs) proliferation through estrogen receptor 1 (ESR1) homodimers. ESR1 knockout reversed ZEN-induced mitochondrial structural/functional damage via the ESR1-OMA1 zinc metallopeptidase (OMA1) axis.

The analysis compares viral detection rates and seasonal patterns post-NPI with those observed during the pre-NPI and NPI periods, as previously published. We performed a retrospective analysis of 93,852 pediatric cases of ARTIs from 2018 to 2024 at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.

Bacterial metabolism provides the essential materials and energy for growth and reproduction. Through complex transformations and electron transfer, bacteria convert external nutrients into useable forms and achieve pathogenicity in the human body. In recent years, with the global spread of antibiotic resistance, traditional antibiotic treatments have become increasingly ineffective and may even exacerbate the imbalance of the human microbiota.

Significant differences in the soil physical and chemical properties were identified among these types ( < 0.05).

To increase the NSC availability of carbon-limited trees, a recent study revealed the possibility of adding exogenous soluble sugars to carbon-starved trees. This provides an opportunity to investigate carbon allocation between source and sink, as well as the growth and physiological responses to external sugars.

MOFs are a class of porous crystalline materials formed by metal nodes and organic ligands, exhibiting enzyme-like activity due to their structural similarity to natural enzymes. They have garnered significant attention in analytical chemistry, disease diagnosis, and treatment.

Skeletal muscle development directly impacts meat quality and productivity in livestock. Although N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation has been recognized as a crucial epigenetic mechanism governing myogenesis, the specific functions of Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 mRNA-binding Protein 3 (IGF2BP3), a key m6A reader protein, in goat muscle development remain elusive. This study was designed to dissect the role of IGF2BP3 and its m6A-mediated regulatory mechanisms during goat skeletal muscle development.

The localization algorithm based on Gaussian-Newton iteration for time-difference fusion of three satellites is proposed. The time-difference equation observed during the satellite overhead is combined with the elevation observation equation to construct the cost function for the overdetermined case, and the nonlinear least squares problem is solved based on Gaussian-Newton iteration.
