Critical limb ischemia (CLI) is a refractory peripheral artery disease characterized by tissue ischemia, presenting significant therapeutic challenges. Current surgical revascularization treatments are limited by indications, complications, and other constraints, making the identification of novel therapeutic strategies an important objective for CLI management. In this study, we designed and synthesized a novel short peptide, named MY-1, and developed a GelMA/MY-1 hydrogel sustained-release system for local application in a mouse hindlimb ischemia model.

Background: The association between the expression of type I interferon related genes (TIIRGs) and EFrHF is not well understood. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between the expression patterns of TIIRGs and EFrHF using bioinformatics analysis.

Background: Pneumatic tube system (PTS) may be associated with preanalytical hemolysis. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of PTS on biochemical and immunological tests susceptible to hemolysis and try to find ways to reduce the result bias caused by PTS.

Background: Lingguizhugan decoction is commonly used to treat metabolic syndrome; however, its curative effect on hypertension is still unclear. Our study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Lingguizhugan decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of hypertension.

Methods: We searched 7 electronic databases for relevant studies and full-text articles involved in the evaluation of clinical effects difference between Lingguizhugan decoction combined with western medicine and western medicine alone.

The sources and metabolic dynamics of Schistosoma japonicum DNA in serum of the host.

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay has turned out to be one of the most potential tools for diagnosis of schistosomiasis. However, the source and metabolic dynamics of Schistosoma japonicum DNA in the blood of hosts is not clear. In this study, rabbit models with monosexual and mixed sexual cercariae infection were established to interpret the source of the parasite DNA in serum of the hosts.

Praziquantel derivatives exhibit activity against both juvenile and adult Schistosoma japonicum.

A praziquantel analog 10-hydroxy praziquantel and eight praziquantel/peroxide conjugates were synthesized. The biological activity of these compounds was evaluated against juvenile and adult stages of Schistosoma japonicum. Unlike praziquantel, 10-hydroxy praziquantel exhibits activity against both juvenile and adult Schistosoma japonicumin.

[Advances in research on antischistosomal drugs].

The article summarizes the newest researches of antischistosomal drugs and discusses the possible alternatives to praziquantel from three aspects, so as to provide the evidence for the development of antischistosomal drugs.
