Developing amphibious adhesives that combine high adhesion strength with on-demand erasability in both dry and wet environments remains a significant challenge. In this study, biomass-derived, amphibious, and erasable adhesives are fabricated by grafting 3-aminobenzoic acid and 3-aminobenzeneboronic acid onto epoxidized soybean oil (ESO), yielding ESO-Am adhesives. These adhesives are dynamically cross-linked with boroxines, hydrogen bonds, and hydrogen-bonded hydrophobic nanodomains.

They are arranged as clusters at the tip of each afferent arteriole. In response to decreased blood pressure or extracellular fluid volume, juxtaglomerular cells secrete renin, initiating an enzymatic cascade that culminates in the production of Ang II (angiotensin II), a potent vasoconstrictor that restores blood pressure and fluid-electrolyte homeostasis.

This paper presents an advanced deep learning framework that couples a spatial-attention mechanism with a Transductive Long Short-Term Memory (TLSTM) model, augmented by one-dimensional dilated convolutional layers to capture long-range temporal dependencies. In contrast to traditional LSTM or GRU models, our methodology utilizes one-dimensional dilated convolutional layers to effectively capture long-range temporal relationships and implements a clustering-based Differential Evolution (DE) strategy for resilient weight initialization and optimization.

The reaction of [Os(N)(L)(CN)] (OsN, HL = 2-(2-hydroxy-5-nitrophenyl)-benzoxazole) with a mixture of acetone and 2,4,6-trimethylaniline (MesNH) affords [Os(L)(CN)(L)] (L = -mesityl-2-(mesitylimino)propanimidamide), where L is derived from the combination of an acetone molecule, a nitrido ligand, and two MesNH units. The reaction of OsN with acetone and the less bulky aniline gives [Os(L)(CN)(L)] (L = 1,3-diphenylguanidine) and phenylacetamide, where L is derived from the combination of three anilines, one acetone, and the nitrido ligand; this reaction results in C-C bond cleavage of acetone. C-C bond cleavage of ketone also occurs in the reaction of OsN with 2-butanone and aniline.

Although the CNS International Prognostic Index (CNS-IPI) is used to estimate SCNSL risk, its limited sensitivity highlights the need for more reliable biomarkers to improve risk stratification and enable earlier intervention.
Methods: We evaluated pretreatment levels of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in both peripheral blood (PB) and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and compared clinical characteristics between DLBCL patients with and without SCNSL.
Bone defects, arising from various causes such as trauma, infection, tumor, surgical debridement, and congenital diseases, pose challenges to the natural self-healing process of bone tissue. Large-scale bone defects may lead to non-healing of the bone, and they need to be repaired through surgery using transplant materials. While graft materials serve as scaffolds for cell attachment and growth, infectious bone defects, like tuberculosis of the bone and joint, require anti-infective therapy concurrent with defect repair.

Immunosenescence has been shown to contribute to the development and progression of various diseases; however, its specific role in solid tumors has not been fully delineated. Here we conducted a phase 2 clinical trial involving 51 patients with cancer undergoing neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy and applied single-cell RNA as well as TCR and BCR sequencing on tumor and blood samples to elucidate the immune cell perturbations.

Nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) are two important trace transition metals that are present in chloroplasts. However, the functions of Ni and Co in maize and the mechanisms regulating their homeostasis in chloroplasts remain poorly understood.

Methods: We performed a systematic search of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, from January 2004, to December 2024. We included studies reporting AKI based on consensus criteria (RIFLE, AKIN, or KDIGO) in adult abdominal surgery patients.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the extent of Left Atrial (LA) structural and functional reverse remodeling following Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation (RFCA) for Atrial Fibrillation (AF) in patients with persistent AF and Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF).
Methods: A cohort study was performed following the STROBE Statement. Thirty consecutive HFpEF patients with persistent AF were prospectively enrolled and planned for RFCA.
Integration of torque teno mini virus (TTMV) generating the TTMV::RARA fusion represents a newly recognized subtype of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) that merits detailed investigation. We present the first comprehensive characterization of its epidemiologic profile, clinical presentation, virologic characteristics, and underlying molecular mechanisms. Our findings indicate that TTMV::RARA is more prevalent in pediatric patients and represents the second most common retinoic acid receptor fusion after PML::RARA.

This investigation utilized flower tissues from five distinct color phenotypes (dark red, red, orange-red, orange-yellow, yellow) of Bombax ceiba to conduct targeted flavonoid metabolomics and RNA sequencing analyses, resulting in the identification of 137 metabolites and 44,725 genes. The results indicated that the expression levels of BcCHSs, BcCHIs, BcF3'5'Hs, BcDFRs, and BcLDOXs were significantly lower in yellow flowers compared to their counterparts of other colors.

As a common gas-sensing material, TiO is limited by poor gas selectivity and humidity immunity like many other metal oxides. Here, an ultra-selective and humidity-resistant room temperature-operated NO sensor is developed using black TiO for the first time. Compared with conventional white TiO, black TiO significantly enhances NO selectivity and humidity resistance by enhancing the NO response for ≥10 times while simultaneously suppressing responses to 7 common interfering gases and HO adsorption.

Hexafluoropropylene oxide trimeric acid (HFPO-TA) is a novel alternative to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) with similar toxicity to PFOA. However, whether HFPO-TA causes ferroptosis is currently unknown. In this experiment, we systematically investigated the induction of zebrafish embryonic liver ferroptosis by HFPO-TA to cause liver injury.

Breast cancer is now the second most commonly diagnosed cancer and the most common female malignancy. Chemotherapy-based adjuvant therapy after surgery and neoadjuvant therapy before surgery are cornerstones of breast cancer treatment. Doxorubicin is one of the most commonly used anthracycline chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer; however, doxorubicin resistance is a major barrier to its clinical use.
