Insulin resistance (IR) has fetal origin and gender preference. Here we traced glucose-insulin phenotypical changes of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) female offspring at different ages and explore the mechanism. The IUGR model was established by prenatal caffeine exposure (PCE): dams were orally administered caffeine [(30, 120 mg(kg.

PHD finger protein 19 (PHF19) is a polycomb protein that promoted cardiac hypertrophy via epigenetic targeting SIRT2. To determine the role of PHF19 in myocardial hypertrophy, we established a large fragment knockout model of PHF19 gene in human embryonic stem cells (hESCs-H7) using the CRISPR/Cas9 system based on a vector. This PHF19-KO cell line has a normal karyotype, classical human pluripotent stem cell morphology, strong pluripotency, and significantly reduced PHF19 gene expression, which will become a useful tool for further in-depth research on the pathogenesis of PHF19 gene deficiency induced myocardial hypertrophy.

Background: Endogenous retroviruses (ERVs) occupy >8% of the human genome. Aberrant resurgence of ERVs has been implicated recently in several critical pathologies. However, the possible incidence and role of ERV resurgence in heart failure (HF), a leading cause of global morbidity and mortality, remain unexplored.

Interleukin-2 Receptor Subunit Gamma (IL2RG) has been implicated in various cancers, but its role in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains unclear. This study aimed to explore IL2RG expression, its relationship with IL2RG -related lncRNAs (IRLs). Gene expression and clinical data for ccRCC were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO) database.

Introduction: Placenta accreta spectrum with antepartum hemorrhage is closely related to maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. It is of utmost importance to predict the possibility of antepartum hemorrhage using perinatal factors before delivery in women with placenta accreta spectrum. The aim of this study is to identify the risk factors for antepartum hemorrhage in women with placenta accreta spectrum.

Background: Moral courage is a key factor in accelerating the implementation of moral behavior. Effective ethical leadership can enhance head nurses' moral competence-particularly moral sensitivity, which serves as a cornerstone of the moral decision-making process. However, there is limited evidence on how ethical leadership influences moral courage.

This study focused on the role of plasma cells in multiple myeloma (MM) and the associated potential mechanisms. Transcriptomic data of MM and various gene sets from several public databases were downloaded for subsequent analyses. Through single-cell sequencing, 10 major cell types were identified and annotated.

In the large scale monitoring application of the IoT, the power carried by a single sensor node is limited, and it may not be replenished in the later stage. Therefore, it is required that the sensor nodes should save power when working, and the power consumption among the sensor nodes should be balanced to avoid the early death of some nodes and the occurrence of monitoring blind spots in the monitor area. Communication is the main part of power loss for sensor nodes.

The acute and large area skin healing has been an intractable problem for both clinician and patient. Exosomes derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC-Exos) have been a novel promising cell-free treatment on skin damage repair. In this study, in vivo skin trauma model of full-layer skin damage on mouse back and in vitro skin-like trauma model of human keratinocytes (HaCaT) scratches were established to investigate the effects of hiPSC-Exos on the acute wound healing, and its potential regulation mechanism would be tried to explore.

Homer1 interacts with calcium-sensing receptors (CaSRs) in osteoblasts (OBs), with both CaSR and Homer1 playing essential roles in AKT phosphorylation. This study investigated the impact of CaSR on Homer1 expression during the differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) at morphological, imaging, and molecular levels, both and . A post-oophorectomy osteoporosis model was established in Sprague-Dawley rats, validated through micro-computed tomography, hematoxylin-eosin staining, and biomechanical testing to assess changes in CaSR expression.

Kawasaki Disease (KD) is an acute and self-limiting vasculitis of unknown etiology that mainly occurs in infancy and can lead to vascular endothelial injury. Hesperidin (HES) is an economical dietary biological flavonoid with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic pharmacological effects. The main objective of this study was to investigate the protective effects of HES on KD, and try to elucidate the underlying mechanism.

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), known as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, is characterized by persistent hyperglycemia resulting from damage to the pancreatic β cells and an absolute deficiency of insulin, leading to multi-organ involvement and a poor prognosis. The progression of T1DM is significantly influenced by oxidative stress and apoptosis. The natural compound eugenol (EUG) possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-apoptotic properties.
