Background: The confirmed efficacy of combining CDK4/6 inhibitors with endocrine therapy (ET) in HR+, HER2- early breast cancer patients in longer follow-up necessitates further investigation. This meta-analysis aims to comprehensively assess the impact of follow-up duration on the therapeutic activity in high-risk patients.
Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Medline, Web of Science, and relevant conference abstracts up to 19 October 2024.
Breast cancer is the most common malignancy that threaten women's health seriously. Many studies have shown that long noncoding RNAs can play significant role in the tumorigenesis of breast cancer. By analyzing the TCGA breast cancer genome data and transcriptome data, we found that copy number amplification drives the activation of long noncoding RNA MNX1-AS in breast cancer and indicates poor prognosis.

The study aimed to develop case-finding algorithms to identify insulinomas using ICD-10 codes from hospital DAD, evaluate their performance and investigate causes of misidentification. This study utilised a 12-year retrospective dataset from a large medical centre in China to test four ICD algorithms for identifying insulinoma patients with hospital DAD.

Firstly, the adaptive weighting fusion method was used to fuse various radioactive exploration data from the field, including ground gamma-ray spectrometry, thermoluminescence, and Po activity. Then, we compared and analyzed it against the anomalous results obtained from each method.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 82 elderly patients (aged ≥70 years) with DLSS, including 45 patients who underwent FEDS (FEDS group) and 37 patients who underwent PTLIF (PTLIF group). General data including age, sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification, surgical segment, preoperative visual analogue scale (VAS) for low back pain and leg pain, and preoperative Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were compared between the two groups.
Oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) has been widely used to treat lumbar spinal stenosis. However, patients with prolapsed nucleus pulposus are not suitable for this surgery. We introduce a hybrid surgical procedure combining OLIF and full-endoscopic spinal canal decompression to address this issue.

Introduction: Codon optimization is critical for high expression of foreign genes in heterologous systems. The gene from is a promising candidate for controlling .
Methods And Results: To develop insect-resistant maize, we designed two codon-optimized variants ( and ) based on maize codon usage bias.
Soil heavy metal pollution is worsening environmental degradation, with fine soil particles serving key carriers due to their high surface area and porosity. While hydrocyclones are commonly used in soil remediation, the "fish hook effect" limits their ability to separate fine particles effectively. Through particle distribution regulation, we have designed a novel device that integrates particle sorting with hydrocyclone separation via an axial spiral connection, improving the classification of coarse and fine soil particles.

Flexible aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) are considered one of the most attractive flexible devices owing to their high theoretical capacity, low cost, and high security. However, the formation of Zn dendrites and the poor flexibility of the Zn material greatly impede the application of wearable AZIBs. Herein, by transferring graphene onto the surface of polyethylene terephthalate-indium tin oxide (PET-ITO-G), a substrate combining excellent flexibility and dendrite suppression ability was prepared.

Methods: This cross-sectional study surveyed 250 patients at the Breast Surgery Outpatient Clinic of our hospital, from February to March 2023, using the Kessler 10 Scale (K10) questionnaire.
Results: A total of 120 breast cancer (BC) patients and 120 non-breast cancer (non-BC) patients completed the questionnaire.
Developing simple and efficient multi-gene expression systems is crucial for multi-trait improvement or bioproduction in transgenic plants. In previous research, an -based bicistronic system from the nonpathogenic fungus efficiently expressed multiple enzyme proteins in yeast and maize, and the heterologous enzymes successfully performed their catalytic activity to reconstruct the biosynthetic pathway in the host organism. Unlike enzyme proteins, some heterologous functional proteins (such as insecticidal proteins) are dose-dependent and they need to express sufficient levels to perform their biological functions.

The impacts of temperature, humidity, and air pressure on radon concentration in the experimental environment were specifically examined, along with the potential interactions among these factors. Moreover, Radon data were denoised using Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) to reveal factors that might influence changes in radon concentration.

Multiple strategies aimed at uniform Zn deposition have been extensively reported, yet it is challenging to clarify the Zn crystal growth regularity and activity due to the obscured physicochemical properties of as-deposited Zn. Herein, we present a protocol for elucidating the controlled epitaxial growth process of Zn crystals and quantifying their surface electrochemical activity using scanning electrochemical microscopy.

Background: With the implementation of the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) and the publication of the metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) nomenclature in 2020, it is important to establish consensus for the coding of MAFLD in ICD-11. This will inform subsequent revisions of ICD-11.
Methods: Using the Qualtrics XM and WJX platforms, questionnaires were sent online to MAFLD-ICD-11 coding collaborators, authors of papers, and relevant association members.
Objective: To explore the application and effect of team-based learning (TBL) based on network platform in teaching surgical abdominal emergency.
Methods: A total of 80 fourth-year medical students from our university's 5-year clinical medicine program were enrolled. They were randomly assigned to two groups: the control group (n = 40) used the online large class teaching method and the experimental group (n = 40) used the online TBL.

Many factors influence the accurate identification of radon anomalies triggered by earthquakes to varying degrees. Therefore, this paper primarily provides a comprehensive review of the various factors influencing radon concentrations over the past two decades. In addition to examining the individual effects of these factors on radon concentrations, it explores the interactions among multiple factors, particularly the correlations among radon anomalies and seismic events as well as the environmental context.

Methanol-to-olefin (MTO) is a typical new coal chemical industry example. Due to the large volume of generated wastewater, complex composition including catalysts, aromatics and various oxygen-containing compounds, and serious environmental hazard, wastewater recycling is critical for sustainable industrial development and ecological protection. Herein, a swirl regenerating micro-channel separation (SRMS) technology was proposed to integrate deep filtration and hydrocyclone-enhanced regeneration.
