Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is characterised by the antibodies decreasing the NMDAR surface density and synaptic localization by selective antibody-mediated capping and internalization of surface NMDAR. Ketamine is a NMDAR antagonist which can produce dose-dependent, self-limiting side effects such as hypersalivation, hyperreflexia, transient clonus, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, hypertension, and detrusor muscle overactivity. A 22-year-old girl presented with recent onset behavioral change, progressive movement disorder and later lapsed into super refractory status epilepticus (SRSE).

Facial nerve schwannomas occurring within the parotid gland represent a rare tumor occurrence. Schwannomas, which are tumors arising from the nerve sheath, constitute approximately 20-40% of all schwannomas and are frequently found in the head and neck regions. However, intraparotid facial nerve schwannomas, particularly those involving the deep lobe of the parotid, are uncommon.

Objective: To assess the relation between cochlear duct length (CDL) and audiological outcome after cochlear implant surgery in prelingually deafened children.
Methods: In a prospective cohort study, 36 prelingually deaf children underwent cochlear implantation at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur. Preoperative high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) and high-resolution T2 weighted sequences magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of temporal bones were used to calculate CDL.

Introduction: Hansen's disease is a chronic, infective granulomatous skin disease with a wide array of manifestations that resemble many dermatological and neurological conditions. Pure neuritic Hansen's disease is a familiar form among leprosy physicians, and it poses significant diagnostic difficulty. Various disorders can mimic leprosy neuropathy clinically and these patients may receive multidrug therapy in endemic areas due to the commonality of leprosy.

Anterior skull base (ASB) malignancies have conventionally been treated with craniofacial resection (CFR), yet this approach is associated with significant morbidity and mortality rates. Recent advancements in endoscopic surgical techniques offer a promising alternative. This study aims to evaluate the morbidity, mortality, recurrence, metastasis, and survival rates of open CFR versus endoscopic CFR for ASB malignancies.

Unlabelled: Background: Petrous bone cholesteatoma (PBC) is a challenging condition involving the development of an epidermoid cyst within the petrous portion of the temporal bone. Advances in radiological imaging and skull base surgery have refined the management of PBC. Methods: An ambispective descriptive study was conducted on patients diagnosed with PBC between 2021 and 2024.

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is an effective treatment modality for AVM, initially popularized on the Gamma Knife (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) platform, and now benefits from the modern advances in linear accelerator (LINAC)-based platforms. This study evaluates the outcomes of LINAC-based SRS/hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (hFSRT) for cerebral AVMs.

Carotid artery stenting (CAS) has become a favoured alternative to surgical carotid endarterectomy (CEA) in select cases of critical internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion. However, complications such as stent migration or entrapment can occur, necessitating prompt diagnosis and intervention. We present a case of a 75-year-old diabetic male who underwent CAS for recurrent presyncope at a private hospital, and during the procedure of CAS the stent was migrated and its proximal part was impacted in the critically narrowed part of the ICA.

Methods: In a triple-blind, randomized controlled study, 43 patients diagnosed with sinonasal polyposis in the Department of ENT, AIIMS, Jodhpur, were enrolled. After obtaining institutional ethics clearance and registering the clinical trial, randomization was conducted to assign participants into experimental and control groups.
