Rare Masqueraders of Pure Neuritic Leprosy: A Report of Four Cases.

Introduction: Hansen's disease is a chronic, infective granulomatous skin disease with a wide array of manifestations that resemble many dermatological and neurological conditions. Pure neuritic Hansen's disease is a familiar form among leprosy physicians, and it poses significant diagnostic difficulty. Various disorders can mimic leprosy neuropathy clinically and these patients may receive multidrug therapy in endemic areas due to the commonality of leprosy.

Clinical and dermoscopic profile of non-venereal genital dermatoses and its impact on the quality of life: A cross-sectional study of 550 cases.

Background Non-venereal genital dermatoses cover a broad spectrum of conditions with varying aetiologies and can be confused with venereal disorders. This may cause significant anxiety to the patient as well as diagnostic difficulties for the clinician. Objective The purpose was to study the clinico-epidemiological pattern of non-venereal genital dermatoses along with their dermoscopic features and to assess their impact on the quality of life.

Background: Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) is the most common cause of genital ulcers in industrialized countries. Herpes zoster (HZ) is an acute, cutaneous viral infection caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV).

Case Summary: A 27-year-old male presented with painful vesicles over the trunk for the last 5 days with painful genital erosions for the last 2 days.

Linear morphea with overlying lichen sclerosus and calcinosis cutis associated with juvenile dermatomyositis.

Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM) is associated with many distinguishing features including cutaneous calcinosis, vasculitis, and ulcerated lesions. In this case, we describe an unusual presentation in a 12-year-old girl who had muscle weakness along with linear morphea over the right upper and lower extremities with overlying lichen sclerosus and calcinosis cutis. Of interest, these initial cutaneous manifestations occurred years before onset of myositis.
