Extragenital Lichen Sclerosus - Morphea Overlap within the Same Lesion: A Rare Occurrence.

Background: Intralesional (IL) steroids are the first-line treatment option for localized alopecia areata (AA). The present study aimed to compare the efficacy of topical calcipotriol with IL triamcinolone acetonide versus IL triamcinolone acetonide alone in AA.
Methods: This randomized single-blinded clinical trial was conducted in a dermatology outpatient department.
Amidst the existing literature on the effect of isotretinoin on serum interleukin-17 levels in acne patients, the effects of oral antibiotics azithromycin and doxycycline on serum interleukin-17 is scarce. We conducted an investigator blinded randomized interventional study to compare the effect of doxycycline, azithromycin and isotretinoin on inflammatory markers and Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) levels in acne. Patients were randomized and received the treatment according to treatment arm till 12 weeks.

Background: Telemedicine has emerged as an important tool in providing patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, we aimed to study the clinico-epidemiological profile of patients seen in the teledermatology outpatient department (OPD) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Material And Methods: Retrospective data analysis of records of patients, who consulted in telemedicine OPD from 20 April 2020 to 5 Feb 2021 was done.
Background: Mycetoma is a neglected tropical infectious disease which runs a prolonged and protracted course. Microbiological confirmation is diagnostic yet unreliable due to poor sensitivity and variable availability of culture facilities in resource poor settings.
Methods: A retrospective review was performed on electronic records (histopathology, microbiology, and radiology) of all patients who underwent skin biopsies with mycetoma as one of the clinical differential diagnoses from year 2016 to 2020.
