Hyperthyroidism, a multifaceted endocrine disorder, is strongly associated with specific human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles, which also play a critical role in drug-induced complications such as agranulocytosis. Conventional HLA genotyping methods often face limitations in simultaneously achieving high accuracy, rapidity, and operational simplicity. To address these challenges, we developed a multimodal biosensing platform for the highly sensitive detection of alleles.

Background: Current clinical practice uses a one-size-fits-all approach to define reference intervals for the results of diagnostic tests about thyroid function. This approach does not recognize subgroup differences according to age, sex, or race.
Objective: To identify age-, sex-, and race-specific reference intervals for the common diagnostic tests that measure thyroid function and to examine how these new reference intervals reclassify persons into disease categories when compared with current reference intervals.
Background: Abnormal stress in cranial sutures is strongly related to deformational plagiocephaly (DP) and is responsible for morphological changes in the skull, facial asymmetry, and abnormal facial tension. To evaluate the effect of biomechanical therapy on cranial sutures of DP we performed in silico analysis of normal skull in the supine position (Model 1), DP in the supine position (Model 2), and DP wearing moulding helmet (Model 3).
Methods: By utilizing 3D point cloud data, we generated finite element models (FEMs) and developed 14 cranial sutures.
Background And Aims: Tuberculous pericarditis (TBP) is a severe, life-threatening complication, yet its diagnosis is highly challenging due to the lack of sufficient diagnostic tools. The aim of this study was to develop and validate a diagnostic prediction model suitable for primary healthcare institutions to predict the risk of TBP.
Methods: We collected detailed medical histories, imaging examination results, laboratory test data, and clinical characteristics of patients and used the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) technique combined with logistic regression analysis to construct a predictive model.
Background And Aims: Anti-cyclic citrulline peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies are among the most critical biomarkers for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), with citrullinated antigens being pivotal in triggering their production. This study aimed to explore the potential diagnostic value of multiple citrulline similar-motif antigen (MCSM) in RA.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 135 patients with RA, 112 patients with other joint diseases (non-RA group), and 67 healthy controls from the Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital.
