Rationale: SMARCB1 (INI1) deficient sinonasal carcinoma is a subtype of Switch/Sucrose nonfermentable (SWI/SNF) complex deficient sinonasal carcinoma, which is distinct from sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC) in 5th edition of the WHO classification of head and neck tumors. It commonly shows basaloid, eosinophilic, oncocytoid or rhabdoid morphology. However, it can exhibit yolk sac like differentiation in very rare cases, with associated SALL4, GPC-3 and CDX2 and AFP expression, which can lead to the misdiagnosis of primary nasopharyngeal yolk sac tumor (YST).

Electrocatalysis provides a green and sustainable approach for the upgrading of biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to the polymer monomer 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA). Precisely tuning the electronic structure, specifically the electron gradient orbitals and spin state of key active sites, is crucial for achieving high catalytic performance, as it directly influences the adsorption strength of the reactive substrate. Herein, by introducing Mn with low 3d filling, the e-e repulsion between bridging O and Ni is weakened due to π-donation function.

Achieving highly ordered and uniformly covered self-assembled monolayers with optimal packing configuration on textured silicon substrates remains a critical challenge for further improving the efficiency of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. Here we design an asymmetric self-assembled monolayer (named as HTL201) featuring an anchoring group and a spacer flanking a carbazole core, serving as a hole-selective layer for perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. When compared with symmetric self-assembled monolayers with a nitrogen-bonded phosphonic acid group, the HTL201 molecule shows minimized steric hindrance and improved coverage on the transparent conductive oxide recombination layer.

Pathogens exploit cellular stress responses to drive infection and evade immune responses, posing a persistent global health threat. Stress granules (SGs), dynamic mRNA hubs formed under stress, and regulated cell death (RCD) pathways collectively orchestrate host-pathogen dynamics. While SGs regulate mRNA translation to aid adaptation, RCD mechanisms-including apoptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis-eliminate infected cells to curb pathogen spread.

Aim: Circulating branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) have been widely found to be associated with the risk of hypertension, but mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we hypothesized that BCAAs could alleviate the development of salt-induced hypertension in Dahl salt-sensitive (SS) rats. The objective was to explore whether long-term high-salt diets (a major dietary risk for high blood pressure) alter BCAAs levels in SS rats and how dietary BCAAs influence salt-induced hypertension.

Adolescent impulsivity is a robust risk factor for adolescent problem behaviors. Historically, impulsivity has been conceptualized as a trait characteristic; however, recent work conducted with adult samples indicates impulsivity also exhibits state-like qualities, fluctuating within persons from day to day. If this is also true for adolescents, it suggests that there are days of higher and lower risk for problem outcomes.
