Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly lethal and heterogeneous tumor driven by the dysregulation of multiple genes. Tubulin tyrosine ligase-like 4 (TTLL4) has been linked to tumor progression, but its specific role in HCC pathogenesis remains unclear. RNA sequencing data, somatic mutation profiles, and clinical characteristics were analyzed from TCGA, GEO, and TIMER databases.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are regarded as advanced supercapacitor materials owing to their high surface area, redox-active sites, and porosity. However, their insufficient charge carrier mobility remains a critical limitation for practical application. Integrating MOFs with conductive carbon substrates is an effective strategy to break through this limitation.

Accurate estimation of passenger origin-destination (OD) matrices is critical for optimizing public transportation systems, yet conventional methods face challenges, such as incomplete alighting data, high infrastructure costs, and privacy concerns. With existing GPS sensors and the additional deployment of a single low-cost Bluetooth sensor (10-20 US dollars) per bus, the proposed method can derive passenger OD flow without requiring passengers to tap in or tap out. The GPS sensor updates the bus locations, and the Bluetooth sensor receives signals from surrounding devices, including those onboard devices and nearby external devices.

This study involved the development of machine learning models to investigate how the microstructures of biomass-based hard carbon (HC) influence sodium storage mechanisms and performance. The goal was to pinpoint the key microstructural features of biomass-based HC that impact the initial coulombic efficiency (ICE) and reversible capacity (RC) of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). To achieve this, a database was established to correlate structural parameters of HC with essential sodium storage performance metrics (referred to as the Hard Carbon-SIBs, HCSs database).

Background: The role of tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase2 (TDO2), a key enzyme in the L-tryptophan (Trp)-kynurenine (Kyn) pathway, in liver transplant immunity is unclear. This study aims to explore the role of TDO2 in liver transplant rejection.
Methods: We used clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein 9 to construct a TDO2 knockout rat model for liver transplant rejection.
Fly ash and granulated blast furnace slag are both bulk industrial solid wastes. Using these two raw materials to completely replace cement and prepare alkali-activated fly ash slag concrete (AAFSC) at room temperature can not only efficiently utilize industrial solid waste and reduce the carbon footprint, but also reduce the economic cost and technical difficulty of construction, which is of great significance for promoting the sustainable development of the concrete industry. In this article, the content of fly ash accounted for 80% of the total precursor (fly ash + slag), and a mixed solution of sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide was used as alkali activator to prepare AAFSC by curing at room temperature.

Fly ash and slag were used as precursors, with fly ash accounting for 80% of the total mass. A mixed solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate was used as alkali activator, and short-cut PPF was added to improve the performance of AAFSC.

This study explores a method for co-differentiation of mesoderm and endoderm, and their subsequent differentiation into pancreatic progenitors (PP) with endothelial cells (EC).
Methods: Two hPSC lines were utilized.
Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for both primary and recurrent early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to analyze the significant prognostic factors.
Patients And Methods: Data from patients with early-stage primary or recurrent HCC who underwent TACE plus RFA between August 2019 and May 2024 were collected from three major general hospitals. 158 patients were divided into a primary group and a recurrent group on the basis of their baseline characteristics.
The capability to achieve fast motion in varying road conditions is a crucial research aspect in the dynamic control of quadruped robot. In this study, a gait parameters planning system for quadruped robot based on virtual model controller (VMC) and fuzzy neural network controller (FNNC) is proposed. According to the expert knowledge, the FNNC is designed to help optimize the parameters in the central pattern generator and virtual model controller (CPG-VMC).

Lignin-based dye dispersants (LDD), as one of the most common lignin resource end-application product, is difficult to meet the rapidly developing needs of modern fiber dyeing due to their inherent structural defects. The efficient upgrading and modification of LDD is of great significance to the value-added application of lignin resources and the expansion of LDD sinking market. In this study, using industrial kraft lignin as raw material, cashew phenol was introduced into lignosulfonate in the form of CC bonds by ingenious utilizing the structural characteristics of lignin disordered condensation.

Metagenomic shotgun sequencing data can identify microbes and their proportions. But metagenomic shotgun data profiling results obtained from multiple projects using different reference databases are difficult to compare and apply meta-analysis. Our work aims to create a novel collection of human gut prokaryotic genomes, named Microbiome Collection Navigator (MBCN).

Based on these experiments, three key factors influencing extraction were selected for response surface methodology (RSM) optimization. The results indicated that under conditions of 26 % ethanol, 20 % ammonium sulfate, a solid-liquid ratio of 1 : 30, and extraction for 35 minutes at 50 °C, the polyphenol content reached 61.

Because of its uneven and large slope, unstructured pavement presents a great challenge to obtaining the adhesion coefficient of pavement. An estimation method of the peak adhesion coefficient of unstructured pavement on the basis of the extended Kalman filter is proposed in this paper. The identification accuracy of road adhesion coefficients under unstructured pavement is improved by introducing the equivalent suspension model to optimize the calculation of vertical wheel load and modifying vehicle acceleration combined with vehicle posture data.
