Background: Eating concerns are core symptoms of eating disorders (EDs). Attachment theory assists in understanding the underlying psychological mechanisms behind eating concerns and suggests that the relationship between eating concerns and parenting styles may be connected through patients' self-compassion. Consequently, the present study aims to investigate the relationship between parenting styles and eating concerns, along with the mediating role of self-compassion.

The widespread and long-term use of azoles like fluconazole (FLC) has led to a significant increase in drug resistance, posing substantial challenges to clinical treatment. In our previous study, benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) was extracted from L.

The development of highly active and durable carbon-based electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is of critical importance. In this study, a heteroatom-doped carbon catalyst (FeSn-NFC) was synthesized through the chelation of Fe and dopamine hydrochloride, followed by Sn/F co-doping and carbonization. The resulting FeSn-NFC catalyst exhibits an ultrahigh specific surface area of 2387.

Viruses rely on host proteins for their pathogenicity and replication, but the specific mechanisms facilitating PPRV replication by host proteins remain poorly understood. In this study, we identified goat growth arrest and DNA damage protein 45A (GADD45A) as a positive regulator of PPRV replication.

To investigate the pathogenicity and cross-species transmission potential of H13 and H16-subtype of low pathogenic avian influenza viruses (LPAIVs), two strains of H13N8 and H16N3 isolated from shorebirds were used to infect mice. Clinical signs were observed, and viral loads and cytokine expression levels were measured. The results showed that both H13N8 and H16N3 AIV exhibited low pathogenicity in mice and could replicate efficiently in the rectum of mice without prior adaptation.

Background: In recent years, enzootic nasal tumor virus 2 (ENTV-2) has become prevalent in China, resulting in substantial economic losses for the goat industry. In order to enrich the availability of detection methods for ENTV-2, this study developed an expedited and accurate reverse-transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) assay to facilitate the detection and quantification of ENTV-2.
Methods: Specifically, a pair of primers and a TaqMan probe targeting conserved regions of the gene were designed to allow the specific amplification and detection of viral RNA in clinical samples.
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is characterized by a complex pathogenesis and high mortality. Targeted drug therapy represents a precise method of treatment. However, Improving sensitivity to targeted agents is currently a major challenge in clinical tumor therapy.

Here we synthesize a Fe-N-Ce-N-C catalyst by secondary sintering and removing endogenous CeO nanoparticles to in situ regulate the accessibility and structure of N and O atoms coordinated Fe sites (FeNO). Theoretical studies indicate that the electron density distribution surrounding the Fe atom in FeNO sites exhibits significant differences compared to that in FeN, inducing a downward shift of the Fe d-band center.

In this study, a straightforward method is presented for preparing polymer ellipsoids via emulsion polymerization, utilizing the jamming of nanoparticle surfactants at the oil-water interface and the membrane emulsification technique. The size and shape of polymer ellipsoids can be precisely controlled by adjusting the interfacial activity of nanoparticle surfactants and emulsification parameters.

Conductivity measurements of fluids at high temperature and pressure were mainly conducted in cold-sealed pressure vessels, hydrothermal diamond anvil cells, and piston-cylinder apparatus, by using precious metals, such as Pt-Rh or Au-Pd as sample capsules. However, this research has never been performed in a multi-anvil apparatus.

Objective: To create and verify a model that predicts the risk of stress hyperglycemia (SHG) in patients without diabetes after cardiac surgery.
Design: Retrospective analysis.
Methods: This retrospective analysis analyzed patients without diabetes post cardiac surgery at our hospital between June 2020 and December 2023.
Alisertib is a potent aurora A kinase inhibitor in clinical trials for cancer treatment, but its efficacy on cancer vaccines remains unclear. Here, we developed a DNA vaccine targeting glypican-3 (pGPC3) and evaluated its efficacy with alisertib in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) models. The combination therapy of pGPC3 vaccine and alisertib significantly inhibited subcutaneous tumor growth, enhanced the induction and maturation of CD11c and CD8CD11c dendritic cells (DCs), and expanded tumor-specific CD8 T cell responses.

In this study, bacteriology, conventional biototyping, and whole-genome single-nucleotide polymorphism (WGS-SNP) were applied to depict the phylogenetic profiles of strains from Northwest China. A total of 46 Brucella strains were identified as B.

Purposes: To investigate the effects of a self-management-cluster-based pregnancy care model (SMB-CPCM) on the psychological status and delivery outcomes of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
Patients And Methods: A total of 120 pregnant women with GDM who had been filed and had regular obstetric examinations in a tertiary-level hospital in Bengbu City between 1 April 2023 and 1 April 2024 were included in the study using the convenience sampling method. Sixty women each were grouped into a study group and a control group using the randomised numeric table method.
Background: The unclear chemical composition and mechanisms of action pose challenges for new drug development and quality control of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulas. To address this, the concept of effective-component compatibility (ECC) was proposed to represent drug combination with equivalent efficacy to TCM formulas, along with clear composition and dosage. However, previous strategies for screening ECC have often overlooked the synergistic effects of its components.

Here we describe the occurrence of ENA on a Dazu black goat farm in Chongqing City. At autopsy, nasal cavity masses were observed within the nose of an affected goat; histologically, the tumor was a nasal adenocarcinoma.

Pembrolizumab is a potentially valuable treatment. However, patients, doctors, and healthcare decision-makers are uncertain about its cost-effectiveness and an appropriate pricing for this new therapy. This study aims to appraise the cost-effectiveness of pembrolizumab as a first-line treatment for advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC) patients in China and the United States (US).

How microenvironmental cues coordinate lung regeneration via modulating cell death remains unknown. Here, we reveal that the neurotransmitter dopamine modifies the endothelial niche to suppress ferroptosis, promoting lung regeneration over fibrosis.
