During the metastatic progression of cancer, tumor cells undergo widespread genetic and epigenetic alterations. The regulatory mechanism of 5-methylcytosine (mC) methylation of PSD4 in breast cancer brain metastasis (BCBM) remains unclear. In this study, we found that PSD4 expression is markedly elevated in both BCBM tissues and cell lines.

Wax gourd is an economically significant vegetable crop, and peel color is a crucial agronomic trait that influences its commercial value. Although genes controlling light green or white peel have been cloned in wax gourd, the genetic basis and molecular mechanism underlying black peel remain unclear.

They have a common domain called the OVATE domain and control the development of leaves, fruits, and flowers in plants. Although the OFP gene family has been widely explored in the plant kingdom, the identification and characterization of this family have not yet been performed in wax gourd.

Based on the data of thyroid cancer patients from Liaocheng People's Hospital from 2015 to 2018, this study focused on appropriate indications for cervical lymph node dissection surgery.
Methods: The clinical and pathological data of patients with initial treatment of PTC in thyroid surgery department from 2015 to 2018 were collected.
Wax gourd (Benincasa hispida (Thunb.) Cogn., 2n = 2x = 24) is an economically important vegetable crop cultivated widely in many tropical and subtropical regions, including China, India, and Japan.

Gynoecy demonstrates an earlier production of hybrids and a higher yield and improves the efficiency of hybrid seed production. Therefore, the utilization of gynoecy is beneficial for the genetic breeding of chieh-qua. However, little knowledge of gynoecious-related genes in chieh-qua has been reported until now.

Cucumber is one of the most important vegetable crops, which is widely planted all over the world. Cucumber always suffers from high-temperature stress in South China in summer. In this study, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis was used to study the differential metabolites of cucumber anther between high-temperature (HT) stress and normal condition (CK).

Methods: Human umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells were obtained by density gradient centrifugation. CD34 cells were then sorted by CD34 conjugated magnetic microbeads.
The wax gourd (Benincasa hispida), the only species in the genus Benincasa, is an important crop native to Asia that has been widely planted for multi-purpose uses. The first wax gourd draft genome was published three years ago, but it was incomplete and highly-fragmented due to data and technical limitations. Herein, we report a new chromosome-level genome assembly and annotation of B.

Wilt disease caused by infection is one of the most serious threats to production. However, the mechanism of the response of to a infection remains largely unknown. In the present study, two cultivars with different degrees of resistance to were identified: B488 (a moderately resistant cultivar) and B214 (a moderately susceptible cultivar).

() genes constitute the largest early auxin-responsive gene family and regulate various biological processes in plants, although this gene family has not been studied in the wax gourd. Here, we performed genome-wide identification of the gene family in wax gourds and analyzed their syntenic and phylogenetic relationships, gene structures, conserved motifs, -acting elements, and expression patterns.

Photosynthesis, a fundamental process for plant growth and development, is dependent on chloroplast formation and chlorophyll synthesis. Severe disruption of chloroplast structure results in albinism of higher plants. In the present study, we report a cucumber albino mutant that presented white cotyledons under normal light conditions and was unable to produce first true leaf.

Previous studies revealed that BM-MSCs were functionally remodeled by malignant cells in leukemia. However, the alterations in BM-MSCs in polycythemia vera (PV) and their effects on HSCs still need to be elucidated.
