The increasing emphasis on environmental sustainability has driven the development of products derived from recycled plastics; however, their applications remain largely confined to packaging and beverage containers due to high recycling costs and limited economic viability. This study focuses on upcycling plastic waste by depolymerizing and repolymerizing waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) into thermoplastic polyester elastomers (TPEE). To enhance the functional properties of the resulting material, an azobenzene-containing polymer (PAzo) is incorporated, leveraging its reversible photoinduced solid-to-liquid phase transition under ultraviolet and visible light irradiation.

However, Cis resistance often occurs, largely limiting its therapeutic efficacy in tumors. Therefore, a better understanding of the drug resistance mechanism could reveal new approaches for improving GC treatment efficacy.

Although the C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 13 (CXCL13) recruits B cells and promotes tertiary lymphoid structure (TLS) formation, its immune function and prognostic value in CRC remain unclear. This study investigated the impact of CXCL13 on patient outcomes and CRC immune landscape.

Unlabelled: This study aimed to explore the potential causal relationship between anxiety-depression and tinnitus using a bidirectional mendelian randomization (MR) approach. Utilizing genetic data from five UKB datasets, one IEU dataset, one EBI dataset encompassing traits linked to anxiety and depressive states, and tinnitus data sourced from the FinnGen project, we conducted two-sample MR analyses. Instrumental variables were selected based on stringent criteria, including genome-wide significance, clumping to ensure independence, and the exclusion of palindromic Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms and those associated with confounders.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been a popular subject of tumor research including pancreatic carcinoma (PC). MicroRNA-34c-3p (miR-34c-3p) is a member of miR-34c cluster, which is strongly associated with tumorigenesis. Nonetheless, miR-34c-3p has not been explored in PC.

We aimed to evaluate a dual-network deep learning (DL) super-resolution method for improving image quality and reducing scan time in T1- and T2-weighted head-and-neck MRI.
Methods: In this prospective study, 97 patients with head-and-neck masses were enrolled at xx from August 2023 to August 2024.

This study aimed to explore the potential causal relationship between migraine and cochlear disease by using a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) approach. We searched datasets related to migraine in the FinnGen database and genome-wide association studies catalog. We conducted 2-sample MR analyses.

Methods: Data were extracted from a pediatric-specific intensive care (PIC) database, selecting 795 pediatric pneumonia patients in ICUs (2010-2018). After applying rigorous inclusion/exclusion criteria, 543 cases formed the study cohort.
Self-healing fabrics have attracted increasing attention as a sustainable solution to extend fabric lifespan and reduce material waste. However, most reported self-healing fabrics rely on extrinsic systems with limited healing cycles, or intrinsic polymers that compromise breathability due to irreversible layer adhesion. In this work, a simple and scalable dip-coating method is reported to fabricate intrinsically self-healing fabrics that retain their porous structure and air permeability.

This study aims to develop a portable reflective confocal microscope (PCRM) based on MEMS micro-mirrors for in vivo skin imaging. The design of PCRM is intended to overcome the limitations of traditional invasive biopsies and bulky desktop microscopes, enabling handheld operation and access to hard-to-reach skin areas. This research innovatively integrates MEMS technology into the PCM through precise mechanical design, using an 830 nm laser and a commercial Olympus objective lens, achieving a lateral resolution of 1.

This study aimed to discuss the potential causal relationship between brain functional networks and tinnitus using a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) approach. Using genetic data from 6 datasets linked to brain functional networks, and tinnitus data sourced from the FinnGen project, we conducted 2-sample MR analyses. Instrumental variables (IVs) were selected based on stringent criteria, including genome-wide significance, clumping to ensure independence, and exclusion of palindromic single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and those associated with confounders.

Despite the annual rise in patients with end-stage diseases necessitating organ transplantation, the scarcity of high-quality grafts constrains the further development of transplantation. The primary causes of the graft shortage are the scarcity of standard criteria donors, unsatisfactory organ preservation strategies, and mismatching issues. Organ preservation strategies are intimately related to pre-transplant graft viability and the incidence of adverse clinical outcomes.

Objectives: Unplanned cardiac reinterventions after congenital cardiac surgery may complicate the postoperative course. We sought to identify incidence rates and risk factors for unplanned cardiac reinterventions and associations between unplanned cardiac reinterventions and hospital mortality.
Methods: Patients in the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium registry undergoing an index cardiac operation from February 2019 to January 2022 were included.
This document describes the guidance on implementing and monitoring an IQC strategy that fulfills the requirements of the Standard ISO 15189:2022. It also explores the practical application of these principles in daily IQC processes within medical laboratories. The goal is to provide a practical, user-friendly resource that not only explains the Standard's requirements but also equips laboratory professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to enhance diagnostic reliability.

Objectives: This study was conducted to compare in-hospital and midterm outcomes after generalized HCR and off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCABG) in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease.
Methods: We proposed a generalized idea of HCR.
Wilms' tumor 1-associated protein (WTAP) is a key N6-methyladenosine (mA) methyltransferase that is upregulated in t(8;21) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) under hypoxia inducible factor 1α-mediated transcriptional activation, promoting leukemogenesis through transcriptome-wide mA modifications. However, the specific substrates and intrinsic regulatory mechanisms of WTAP are not well understood. Here, we provide evidence that PHD finger protein 19 (PHF19) overexpression is regulated by WTAP-mediated mA modification and promotes cell cycle progression by altering chromatin accessibility.

Various glassy hydrogels are developed by forming dense physical associations within the matrices, which exhibit forced elastic deformation and possess high stiffness, strength, and toughness. Here, the viscoplastic behaviors of the glassy hydrogel of poly(methacrylamide--methacrylic acid) are investigated by stress relaxation and creep measurements. We found that the characteristic time of stress relaxation of the glassy gel is much smaller than that of amorphous polymers.
