Background: MEG3, a lncRNA, has been verified in several tumors to function as tumor suppressors including breast cancer development and progression, however, the expression pattern and underlying mechanisms of MEG3 involved in breast cancer progression is still need to be further explored.
Methods: The expression of MEG3 was confirmed in 90 cases of breast cancer tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis. The association between clinicopathological factors and MEG3 expression was evaluated by chi-square test.
Uncovering genetic variation through resequencing is limited by the fact that only sequences with similarity to the reference genome are examined. Reference genomes are often incomplete and cannot represent the full range of genetic diversity as a result of geographical divergence and independent demographic events. To more comprehensively characterize genetic variation of pigs (), we generated de novo assemblies of nine geographically and phenotypically representative pigs from Eurasia.

Without histones and at the lowest histone:DNA ratio (less than one histone per 1000 base pairs of DNA), the DNA appeared as individual (uncomplexed), double-stranded DNA molecules.
