Background: Lower limb lymphedema can cause significant physical and psychological distress. Complete decongestive therapy is recognized as the gold standard for non-surgical management of this condition. However, the lived experiences of patients undergoing complete decongestive therapy have been largely overlooked in existing research.

Herein, a 2D covalent organic framework (NUS-9) synthesized via cryogenic interfacial growth was engineered into a NUS-9@PP composite separator to enhance lithium metal battery performance. Its unique layered architecture establishes vertically aligned Li transport channels with ion-sieving functionality, while lithiophilic polar groups regulate Li solvation structures, suppressing electrolyte-Li parasitic reactions.

Herein, first, the terpolymerization of CO, propylene oxide (PO), and epichlorohydrin (ECH) to synthesize PPC-ECH terpolymers via one-pot and metal-free method using multinuclear organoboron catalysts is reported. The PPC-ECH terpolymers with well-rounded properties can be easily synthesized by adjusting reaction conditions, monomer ratios, catalyst types, and loading.

(), a major foodborne pathogen, poses significant risks to public health by causing gastrointestinal diseases. Among its virulence factors, Yersiniabactin (Ybt), a siderophore, plays a crucial role in iron acquisition and enhancing intestinal colonization. Despite previous studies highlighting -Ybt's involvement in inflammation, its exact mechanisms remain unclear.

Identifying nitrate sources and transformations in the riparian aquifer is critical for effectively controlling and mitigating nitrate contamination, especially in sluice-controlled rivers. This study employs an integrated approach combining hydrochemical analysis, isotopes (δO-HO, δH-HO, δN-NO and δO-NO), quantification of nitrogen (N) functional genes and a Bayesian mixing model (MixSIAR) to comprehensively investigates nitrate sources and transformation processes in the riparian groundwater of a sluice-controlled Shaying River, China.

Randomness is an essential resource and plays important roles in various applications ranging from cryptography to simulation of complex systems. Certified randomness from quantum process is ensured to have the element of privacy but usually relies on the device's behavior. To certify randomness without the characterization for device, it is crucial to realize the one-sided device-independent random number generation based on quantum steering, which guarantees security of randomness and relaxes the demands of one party's device.

In high-voltage lithium metal batteries, designing electrolytes with low salt concentrations to achieve stable electrode interfaces presents a formidable challenge. High-concentration electrolytes stabilize the interface through an anion-derived LiF-rich interphase; however, their anion-rich solvation structures compromise the ionic conductivity. This study introduces a polymer-derived interphase that maintains interface stability at low lithium salt concentrations (∼1 M).

However, exploration of emerging contaminants pollution in groundwater and assessment of human health and ecological risks caused by large-scale agricultural activities have been relatively scarce. This study collected groundwater samples from typical agricultural areas in Northeast China to investigate the extent of contamination by nitrate, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and endocrine-disrupting compounds (EDCs), and then compared the levels of these pollutants with those in other regions of China.

The block copolymers possess a melting point as high as 169 °C and two distinct glass transition temperatures. It is also possible to control the length and composition of the copolymers, thereby customizing their crystallinity and physical performance.

SO fumigation treatment (commonly known as sulfur treatment, ST) is a key method in the postharvest preservation of imported and exported fresh longan fruits, effectively reducing pericarp browning and enhancing color. Nonetheless, distinctive aromas, often referred to as "sulfur flavor", may develop in the aril during the extended preservation period. This study employed "Caopu" longan as the test material and patented SO-releasing paper (ZL201610227848.
