In this work, we present a cerium-substituted NiFe-layered double hydroxide (NiFe-Ce LDH) that synergistically activates both the adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM) and a localized lattice-oxygen mechanism (LOM) for efficient alkaline water oxidation. Atomic Ce incorporation induces charge redistribution through Ce -O interactions, stabilizing Fe sites and upshifting the O band to enable controlled lattice-oxygen redox without structural collapse. In situ ATR-SEIRAS and DEMS measurements confirm the simultaneous formation of *OOH and OO* intermediates, indicating the hybrid pathway.

However, inadequate vascularization remains an arduous challenge, hindering graft survival in wound healing and regenerative medicine. Although neovascularization and vascularized tissue engineering have received considerable attention, current investigations into the regulatory mechanisms of microvascular regeneration have primarily focused on intracellular signaling entities, leaving the extracellular molecular-level regulatory mechanisms unclear.

NeRF-Det has achieved impressive performance in indoor multi-view 3D detection by innovatively utilizing NeRF to enhance representation learning. Despite its notable performance, we uncover three decisive shortcomings in its current design, including semantic ambiguity, inappropriate sampling, and insufficient utilization of depth supervision. To combat the aforementioned problems, we present three corresponding solutions: 1) Semantic Enhancement.

Naturally, the lane is a traffic sign with high-level semantics, whereas it owns the specific local pattern which needs detailed low-level features to localize accurately. Using different feature levels is of great importance for accurate lane detection, but it is still under-explored.

Background: Studies about the combined effects of gaseous air pollutants and particulate matters are still rare.
Objectives: This study was performed based on baseline survey of the Diverse Life-Course Cohort in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) Region of North China to evaluate the association of long-term air pollutants with blood pressure and the combined effect of the air pollutants mixture among 32821 natural han population aged 20 years or above.
Methods: Three-year average exposure to air pollutants (PM, PM, PM, O, SO, NO, and CO) and PM components [black carbon (BC), ammonium (NH), nitrate (NO), sulfate (SO), and organic matter (OM)] of residential areas were calculated based on well-validated models.
Background: The fat-to-muscle mass ratio (FMR), integrating the antagonistic effects of fat and muscle mass, has been suggested as a valuable indicator to assess cardiometabolic health independent of overall adiposity. However, the specific associations of total and regional FMR with cardiometabolic risk are poorly understood. We aimed to examine sex-specific associations of total and regional FMR with single and clustered cardiometabolic risk factors (CRFs).

Methods: A total of 1270 individuals from 538 nuclear families were included in this cross-sectional study. Different indices were used to quantify fat mass and distribution, including body index mass (BMI), visceral fat index (VFI), and body fat percent (BFP).
The Sysmex XN series haematopoietic progenitor cell (XN-HPC) is a novel tool for assessing stem cell yield before allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This study aimed to establish a reference interval (RI) for XN-HPC in peripheral blood allogeneic transplant donors following granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) stimulation and determine its clinical significance. All specimens were analysed using Sysmex XN-20.

The escalating frequency, duration, and intensity of extreme heat events have posed a significant threat to human society in recent decades. Understanding the dynamic patterns of human mobility under extreme heat will contribute to accurately assessing the risk of extreme heat exposure. This study leverages an emerging geospatial data source, anonymous cell phone location data, to investigate how people in different communities adapt travel behaviors responding to extreme heat events.

The study aimed to determine the associations of muscle parameters (muscle mass, strength, quality, and sarcopenia) and sarcopenia obesity with diabetes, and the previously unstudied mediating effect of inflammation.
Materials And Methods: A total of 13,420 adults from the 2023 China National Health Survey (CNHS) and 5,380 adults from the 2011-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were included in this study.

Enterovirus 71 (EV71), a prominent pathogen associated with hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), has been reported worldwide. To date, the advancement of effective drugs targeting EV71 remains in the preliminary experimental stage. In this study, magnolol demonstrated a significant dose-dependent inhibition of EV71 replication in vitro.

This study aims to explore the pivotal role of Muscovy duck probiotics fermented feedstuff (FF) in altering the growth performance by reshaping gut morphology, microorganisms and metabolism. The findings showed that FF considerably raised the levels of fatty acids (FA) and small peptides (7-19AA) in the diet.

Understanding the impacts of governmental and human responses on the pandemic control is imperative for forecasting pandemic spread under various responsive scenarios and guiding localized interventions before pharmaceutical interventions are available. This study analyzed multiple data sets, including social media, mobility, policy evaluations, and COVID-19 infection reports, to delineate the interactions between governmental and human responses and COVID-19 spread in the United States in 2020 when vaccinations were unavailable. The contributions are (1) uncovering the spatiotemporal variations in governmental and human responses during COVID-19; (2) developing a statistical machine learning algorithm that incorporates spatiotemporal dependencies and temporal lag effects to model the relationships between governmental and human responses and the pandemic spread; (3) dissecting the impacts of human responses on the pandemic across space and time.

While features of different scales are perceptually important to visual inputs, existing vision transformers do not yet take advantage of them explicitly. To this end, we first propose a cross-scale vision transformer, CrossFormer. It introduces a cross-scale embedding layer (CEL) and a long-short distance attention (LSDA).

Compared to typical multi-sensor systems, monocular 3D object detection has attracted much attention due to its simple configuration. However, there is still a significant gap between LiDAR-based and monocular-based methods. In this paper, we find that the ill-posed nature of monocular imagery can lead to depth ambiguity.

Introduction: Intercellular communication is essential for almost all physiological and pathological processes. Endothelial cell (EC)-derived exosomes, working as mediators for intercellular information exchange, are involved in the pathophysiological mechanisms of atherosclerosis. However, the effect of inflamed endothelial exosomes on the function of macrophages (Mϕ) is poorly defined.

However, it remains unknown whether they could also prevent hypotension after induction of general anaesthesia. In the current study, we aimed to investigate the effect of intravenous granisetron on prophylactic ephedrine for preventing hypotension after general anaesthesia induction in elderly patients.

2D transition metal disulfides have emerged as promising Pt-alternative electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation. However, the sluggish water dissociation kinetics and limited active sites hinder their performance in alkaline media. Herein, we propose a two-step hydrothermal method to synthesize K intercalation-assisted Co-doped MoS nanoflowers.
