Treatment of patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer is a major clinical challenge. We found that high expression of a meiotic protein, Synaptonemal Complex Protein 2 (SYCP2), is associated with platinum resistance and tyrosine kinase ABL1 inhibitor sensitivity in ovarian cancer. We demonstrate that tyrosine kinase ABL1 inhibitors inhibit cancer cell proliferation more efficiently in ovarian cancer cell lines with SYCP2 overexpression.

The RCSI Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine was developed to provide evidence-based knowledge on six pillars of lifestyle medicine, and outline strategies to help students adopt healthy lifestyle behaviours which they can apply to their personal and professional lives. The aim of this study was to examine student's perceptions of their lifestyle behaviours and preparation for clinical practice following course completion.

We have studied the antigen-binding properties of the IGs from a subset of patients with CLL (Subset #4) that homo-dimerize at high affinity.

Study Objectives: Circulating non-esterified fatty acids (NEFAs) have been associated with impaired glucose metabolism but their modifiable determinants remain uncertain. We sought to determine the association between objectively-measured sleep disordered breathing (SDB), which is also associated with dysglycemia, and NEFA levels among community-dwelling older adults.

Methods: We analyzed 787 older adults who had total fasting and post-load NEFAs measured in 1996-1997 in the Cardiovascular Health Study and underwent polysomnography between 1995 and 1997 in the Sleep Heart Health Study.

Background And Objectives: With more women entering the medical workforce, caregiving challenges and family-work conflicts are of growing importance to today's neurologists. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of caregiver (CG) status on academic achievements in neurology, analyze the division of labor and time devoted to domestic responsibilities, and measure family-work conflict in US academic neurology faculty.

Methods: A total of 19 US neurology departments completed a survey on baseline demographics, academic achievements, CG status, division of domestic time and labor, and responses on a FWC scale.

This paper reviewed the progress and impacts, and identified enablers and barriers of market shaping activities in the past decade. We conducted a systematic review using a structured searching strategy across five academic databases and key actors' websites for gray and white literature published in English since 2012.

Recent trends in basil seed gum-based films and coatings for food packaging: An updated review.

Basil seed gum (BSG) is a natural, biodegradable hydrocolloid derived from basil seeds with promising applications in food packaging. Due to its biocompatibility, film-forming capacity, and favorable mechanical and barrier properties, BSG is an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic packaging. This review highlights the development and functional properties of BSG-based films and coatings, especially for preserving perishable foods like seafood, meat, poultry, fruits, and fried products.

Laser-Induced Photothermal Conversion to Hemispherical MoS Enabling Non-Contact Self-Powering Image Sensor.

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS) has recently emerged as a promising material for the development of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) owing to its inherently negative triboelectric properties when paired with polymeric layers, along with its notable transparency and mechanical flexibility. However, MoS-based TENGs operating in the contact-separation mode encounter critical limitations, including mechanical wear and limited triboelectric performance, particularly within the constraints of conventional 2D geometries. This paper reports the novel one-step laser-assisted synthesis of hemispherical MoS through the controlled nucleation and growth of MoS precursor seeds.
