Article Abstract

Synthesizing 2D nanosheets in a controlled and scalable manner remains a significant challenge. Here, a nanoconfined solvothermal synthesis is presented of metallic phase MoS (1T-MoS) monolayers at kilogram scale. The MoS nanosheets exhibit a remarkably high monolayer ratio of 97%, a 1T content of ≈89%, and a well-defined average lateral size ranging from ≈100 nm to 1.0 µm, with a narrow size distribution. Moreover, these nanosheets possesses abundant surface defects, and the defect density can be regulated in situ through changing the reaction conditions. Intriguingly, the monolayer MoS nanosheets demonstrate good dispersibility and high stability in various solvents, including water, ethylene glycol, dimethyl formamide and others, with a high concentration of up to 1.0 mg mL. They are also proven to be high-performance electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction, exhibiting an overpotential of 315 mV at an industrial current density of 1000 mA cm and maintaining constant current densities of 500 mA cm for up to 100 h, surpassing the performance of the commercial 20 wt.% Pt/C. Our strategy represents a significant advancement in the controlled synthesis of monolayer MoS at scale, providing a promising avenue for the practical application of 2D materials.

Coupling ion exclusion and interaction screening within sub-nanoconfinement channels in novel porous material membranes hold great potential to realize highly efficient ion sieving, particularly for high-performance lithium-ion extraction. Diverse kinds of advanced membranes have been previously reported to realize this goal but with moderate performance and complex operations gained. Herein, these issues are circumvented by preparing the consecutive and intact imine-linked three-dimensional covalent organic framework (i.

Currently, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with tunability and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with high stability are promising nanomaterials for electrochemiluminescence (ECL), while Ru-based metal covalent organic frameworks (Ru-MCOFs) have rarely been reported. Herein, an ECL immunosensor based on a strong ECL-emitting Ru-MCOF was proposed for the sensitive detection of the cardiac troponin-I (cTnI). Imine-linked Ru-MCOF was prepared as an ECL emitter via solvothermal method using tris (4,4' -diamino-2,2' -bipyridine) ruthenium (II) (Ru(dbpy) ) as a precursor.

Nanoconfinement of cations in layered oxide cathode is an important approach to realize advanced zinc ion storage performance. However, thus far, the conventional hydrothermal/solvothermal route for this nanoconfinement has been restricted to its uncontrollable phase structure and the difficulty on the multiple cation co-confinement simultaneously. Herein, this work reports a general, supramolecular self-assembly of ultrathin VO nanosheets using various unitary cations including Na, K, Mg, Ca, Zn, Al, NH , and multiple cations (NH + Na, NH + Na + Ca, NH + Na + Ca +Mg).

Traditional advanced oxidation processes suffer from low availability of ultrashort lifetime radicals and declining stability of catalysts. Co nanoparticles in hollow bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (Co@MOFs) were synthesized via a solvothermal method. Nanoconfinement and peroxymonocarbonate (PMC) degradation system endows Co@MOFs with high catalytic activity and stability even in the actual water matrices.
