This paper investigates the uniqueness of parameters via persistence of excitation for switched linear systems. The main contribution is a much weaker sufficient condition on the regressors to be persistently exciting that guarantees the uniqueness of the parameter sets and also provides new insights in understanding the relation among different subsystems. It is found that for uniquely determining the parameters of switched linear systems, the needed minimum number of samples derived from our sufficient condition is much smaller than that reported in the literature.

Three-dimensional printing (3DP) technology enables the flexible fabrication of integrated monolithic microextraction chips for high-throughput sample pretreatment. Meanwhile, the extraction performance of 3DP-based channels is largely limited by printer resolution and the commercially available printing materials. In this work, a 3DP array monolithic microextraction chip (AMC) was fabricated by integrating 26-array helical monolithic microextraction channels for sample pretreatment and 52-array gas valves for fluid control.

Background: Clinical communication is central to the delivery of effective, timely, and safe patient care. The use of text-based tools for clinician-to-clinician communication-commonly referred to as secure messaging-has increased exponentially over the past decade. The use of secure messaging has a potential impact on clinician work behaviors, workload, and cognitive burden.

The high sensitivity and wide linearity are crucial for flexible tactile sensors in adapting to diverse application scenarios with high accuracy and reliability. However, conventional optimization strategies of constructing microstructures suffer from the mutual restriction between the high sensitivity and wide linearity. Herein, a novel design of localized gradient conductivity (LGC) with partly covered low-conductivity (low-σ) carbon/Polydimethylsiloxane layer on high-conductivity (high-σ) silver nanowires film upon the micro-dome structure is proposed.

Superlinear photodetectors hold significant potential in intelligent optical detection systems, such as near-field imaging. However, their current realization imposes stringent requirements on photosensitive materials, thereby limiting the flexibility of the device integration for practical applications. Herein, a tunable superlinear GaO deep-ultraviolet gate-all-around (GAA) phototransistor based on a p-n heterojunction has been proposed.
