This paper reports the surface morphology and I-V curves of porous silicon (PS) samples and related devices. The observed fabrics on the PS surface were found to affect the electrical property of PS devices. When the devices were operated under different external bias (10 V or 3 V) for 10 min, their observed obvious differences in electrical properties may be due to the different control mechanisms in the Al/PS interface and PS matrix morphology.

Introduction: During the healing process, the functional gradient attachment of the rotator cuff (RC) tendon-bone interface fails to regenerate, which severely impedes load transfer and stress dissipation, thereby increasing the risk of retears. As a result, the treatment of rotator cuff tears remains a significant clinical challenge.
Methods: In this study, a dual-crosslinked hyaluronic acid/polyethylene glycol (HA/PEG) hydrogel scaffold was synthesized using hyaluronic acid and polyethylene glycol as base materials.

In this study, a silicon carbide (SiC) mixed-matrix membrane for oil-water separation was successfully fabricated within the nanofiltration range. Silicon carbide was synthesized using rice husk ash (RHA), an agricultural waste material, combined with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and subsequently incorporated into a mixed matrix membrane for oil-water separation. Polysulfone (PSF) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) were employed as polymer supports for fabricating the SiC-based mixed matrix membrane, which was tested in a dead-end filtration setup.

The selective reduction of to formate using molecular catalysts immobilized on high surface area porous silicon is described. Manganese complexes of the form (bpy)Mn(CO)Br (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) were prepared with silatrane groups on the bpy ligand for attachment to oxide-coated porous silicon (SiO-porSi). SiO-porSi wafers were formed by heating hydrogen-terminated p-type porous silicon wafers under air and the manganese complexes were immobilized on SiO-porSi by heating at 80 °C.

The limited activity and poor long-term stability of oxygen electrocatalysts remain major obstacles to the practical deployment of zinc-air batteries (ZABs). Herein, a heterostructure catalyst, FeNi-LDH@DACs, was constructed by anchoring ultrasmall FeNi layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanodots onto polyhedral FeNi dual-atomic catalysts (DACs), forming a "sesame-ball-like" architecture. This spatial arrangement enables interfacial coupling, where electron transfer from LDH to DACs modulates the d-band center of the FeNi atomic sites and adjusts the adsorption energies of oxygen intermediates.

The practical applications of enzymes often require their immobilization for multiple recycling or long-term running. However, practically efficient enzyme immobilization methods are lacking. Herein, we present an enzyme immobilization approach by engineering a porous "interphase" between water and oil around the surfaces of Pickering emulsion droplets.
