KRAS mutations drive tumorigenesis, but their role in ferroptosis regulation remains unclear. Here, we construct wild-type KRAS (KRAS) and KRAS-mutant cancer cells and demonstrate that G12D-mutant cells exhibit increased viability and reduced ferroptosis upon RSL3 or erastin treatment. These cells show diminished lipid peroxidation and mitochondrial damage, indicating ferroptosis resistance.

The pyrene group is commonly used as a fluorophore in ratiometric fluorescence probes. However, these probes almost exclusively utilize the monomer/excimer of the pyrene group to achieve ratiometric fluorescence recognition for analytes. In the study, three structurally simple, mono-substituted pyrene derivatives, namely pyrene-1-ol (Probe1), pyren-1-ylboronic acid (Probe2), pyrene-1-carboxylic acid (Probe3) utilize their protonation or deprotonation effects to influence the electronic excited state of the pyrene group, thereby achieving sensitive ratiometric fluorescence recognition of pH.

Nevertheless, there is still a scarcity of thorough analyses exploring its diagnostic, predictive, and immune system-related importance in various types of cancer.
Methods: We integrated multiple publicly available databases, including TCGA, TISIDB, TISCH2, and UALCAN, to comprehensively investigate the role of NSUN7 in pan-cancer across various omics data types.
Aims: Emerging resistance to Lenvatinib, which is used as a first-line agent for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), is still a concern. The aim of this study was to determine core factors of Lenvatinib resistance (LR) and their underlying molecular mechanisms.
Methods: CRISPR screening in HCC cells was conducted, which identified E3 ubiquitin ligase deltex 2 (DTX2) as a core LR-related gene.

In the typical ionothermal synthesis of crystalline carbon nitride (CCN), alkali metal halides are usually used in large amounts. Here, we report a new method for synthesizing poly (heptazine imide) (PHI) using only a trace amount of NaF, which is 20 times less than the amount of NaCl typically required to achieve the PHI structure. Different from the prevailing view that salts function primarily as templates and chelating agents during polymerization, our research revealed the unique role that NaF plays in the polymerization of PHI.

Herein, we present a bio-inspired, evaporation-assisted strategy to address this issue. In our design, the evaporation of liquid catalysts that induce ring-chain equilibrium of polymer systems drives macrocycles to encounter and assists their catenation through reversible cyclization.

Background And Objectives: There is a growing demand for dementia care to be funded by long-term care insurance (LTCI). However, evidence indicates that people with dementia are overlooked in China's LTCI policy and empirical research on this issue is notably scarce. Among the first seven LTCI pilot cities that officially enrolled people with dementia, Guangzhou is unique for roll-back LTCI policies related to eligibility criteria and benefits.

Affected by up to a hundred quantitative trait loci (QTLs), fruit-soluble sugar content is one of the most complex quantitative traits in apple (Malus sp.).

Compared to mRNA vaccines, circRNA vaccines offer a more improved method that is safe, stable, and simple to manufacture. With the rapid revelation of the biological functions of circRNA and the success of Severe Acute Respiratory Coronavirus Type II (SARS-CoV-2) mRNA vaccines, biopharmaceutical companies and researchers around the globe are attempting to develop more stable circRNA vaccines for illness prevention and treatment.

However, the effect of diabetes as well as IR on the prognosis of PC patients remains inconclusive. Our study aims to assess the impact of IR on the prognosis of PC patients with diabetes.

We propose a coarse-grained model to study the catenation process of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) rings regulated by topoisomerase II (TOP2) and provide a computational method to characterize the topological structures of the Olympic gels obtained. The function of TOP2 in the catenation of dsDNA rings is implicitly fulfilled by operating the length of a stretchable catch bond in the dsDNA ring.

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are considered to be responsible for the poor survival, recurrence and therapy resistance of PDAC. Ferroptosis plays a crucial role in the sustain and survival of CSCs.

This screening strategy has significant implications for further treatment of malignancies with acquired drug resistance. In recent years, studies involving genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screening have gradually increased.

Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors originating from peptide-producing neurons and neuroendocrine cells. The liver is the most common site of metastasis for NETs, while primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumors (PHNETs) are exceedingly rare. While somatostatin receptor scintigraphy (SRS) has demonstrated superior efficacy compared to [F]FDG PET imaging in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors, [F]AlF-NOTA-Octreotide ([F]AlF-OC) PET/CT also exhibits specific advantages over SRS.

But the original Blumgart method is involved in complicated and interrupted sutures, which may not be suitable for the laparoscopic approach. In this study, we introduced a simplified Blumgart method for laparoscopic pancreaticojejunostomy.

Therefore, the targeting of CSCs for treatment is particularly important. Recent studies have demonstrated that CSCs are more susceptible to ferroptosis than non-CSCs, indicating that this could be an effective strategy for treating tumors.

The development of new polymer-based room-temperature phosphorescence materials is of great significance. By a special molecule design and a set of feasible property-enhancing strategies, coumarin derivatives (CMDs, M-M) were doped into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyacrylamide (PAM), corn starch, and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as information anti-counterfeiting. CMDs-doped PVA and CMDs-doped corn starch films showed long-lived phosphorescence emissions up to 1246 ms (M-PVA) and 697 ms (M-corn starch), reaching over 10 s afterglow under naked eye observation under ambient conditions.
