Pure solid lung cancer is associated with higher lymph node metastasis rates, therefore identifying the risk factors and metastatic patterns of lymph node involvement in early-stage pure solid lung cancer is a critical research topic. We retrospectively collected preoperative Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and postoperative pathological data of patients with pure solid lung cancer from 2021 to 2025 to investigate the risk factors and patterns of lymph node metastasis. Among 8718 patients, 104 with ≤ 2 cm pure solid lung cancer were analyzed, with a lymph node metastasis rate of 20.

Sonodynamic therapy (SDT), a noninvasive treatment modality that combines low intensity ultrasound with sonosensitizers, has shown significant potential in the treatment of cancer and metabolic diseases. However, SDT induced autophagy plays a dual role in disease progression, as it can promote either cell survival or cell death, and its effects are highly dependent on cell type and pathological context. This complexity underscores the urgent need for regulation of autophagy to optimize the therapeutic efficacy of SDT.

The NOD-like receptor pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome has emerged as a key contributor to this process. Here we investigate the efficacy of bergapten (5-Methoxypsoralen), a natural compound with anti-inflammatory activity, in managing neuropathic pain.

Although epidemiological evidence links poorer pulmonary function to subsequent cognitive decline, the pathways driving this relationship are not fully understood. We therefore investigated whether depressive symptoms mediate this relationship in older Chinese adults.

Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 102 participants, who were randomly assigned to one of two groups: opioid-free general anesthesia with thoracic epidural anesthesia (OFA) group and opioid-based general anesthesia with compound transversalis fascia nerve block (OA) group. The primary observation outcomes were the preoperative and postoperative Quality of Recovery-40 (QoR-40) questionnaire scores.

Lipid storage and epigenetic dysregulation are key features for clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC). However, the interplay between fatty acid metabolism and epigenetics in ccRCC remains to be further demonstrated. Here, the landscape of active enhancers is profiled in paired ccRCC samples and identifies 10171 gain variant enhancer loci (VELs) in the tumor tissues.

The focus is on serum exosome miRNA profiles through RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were categorized into four groups: Control (C), COPD model (M), COPD model + saline (MS), and COPD model + esketamine (MK).
Objective: To compare the accuracy of implant positioning and early functional recovery between direct anterior approach (DAA) and posterolateral approach (PLA) in total hip arthroplasty (THA) guided by an artificial intelligence preoperative planning system (AIHIP).
Methods: The study population consisted of 206 patients who underwent DAA surgery and 81 patients who underwent PLA surgery, all of whom were designed preoperatively using AI-HIP, and postoperatively using artefact-reduced CT reconstruction for prosthesis mounting angle measurements and follow-up such as postoperative outcomes. The main assessments included prosthesis positioning accuracy (compared to the preoperative plan): acetabular anterior inclination (AA), femur anterior inclination (FNA), combined anterior inclination (CA), alignment of femoral stem prosthesis and femur; clinical outcomes: operative time, hospital stay, and time to grounding; functional scores: Harris Hip Score, WOMAC, and VAS Pain Score; and biomarkers: haemoglobin, CRP, and IL-6, among others.
Maize is one of the major crops that are susceptible to infection and subsequent aflatoxin contamination, which poses a serious health threat to humans and domestic animals. Here, an RNA interference (RNAi) approach called Host-Induced Gene Silencing (HIGS) was employed to suppress the -methyl transferase gene (, also called ), a key gene involved in aflatoxin biosynthesis. An RNAi vector carrying part of the gene was introduced into the B104 maize line.

Metal-halogen exchange reactions are fundamental processes in chemistry that transform organic halides into organometallic reagents. However, using these reactions to build intricate structures in a cascade manner, especially in a catalytic mode, has been a challenge. In this study, we introduce a homoleptic organolanthanum catalyst to initiate lanthanum-halogen exchange and intramolecular carbohalogenation.

We aimed to build a combined radiomics-clinic (CoRC) model for triaging SF and explore the additive value of the CoRC model to transient elastography-based liver stiffness measurement (FibroScan, TE-LSM). This retrospective study recruited 595 patients with biopsy-proven liver fibrosis at two centers between January 2015 and December 2021.

Methods: We enrolled 90 children (aged 1-8 years; ASA I-II) undergoing closed reduction and internal fixation for upper extremity fractures at the Xiamen Children's Hospital and randomly assigned them to one of two groups: L (injection with 0.25% ropivacaine) or D (injection with 0.

Purpose: Our investigation utilized a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach to explore the ambiguous bidirectional relationship between Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and depression, furthering insights from existing observational studies.
Methods: In this study, we conducted a bidirectional Mendelian randomization using genome-wide association studies (GWAS) datasets. We initially analyzed depression data from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium and the UK Biobank (n = 500,199), alongside COPD data from the FinnGen Consortium (n = 329,552).

Quantification of behaviors in macaques provides crucial support for various scientific disciplines, including pharmacology, neuroscience, and ethology. Despite recent advancements in the analysis of macaque behavior, research on multi-label behavior detection in socially housed macaques, including consideration of interactions among them, remains scarce. Given the lack of relevant approaches and datasets, we developed the Behavior-Aware Relation Network (BARN) for multi-label behavior detection of socially housed macaques.

Acute kidney injury and chronic renal fibrosis are intractable pathological processes to resolve, yet limited strategies are able to effectively address them. Cardamonin (CAD) is a flavonoid with talented antioxidant, anti-inflammatory capacity, and satisfactory biosafety. In our study, animal and cellular models of renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) and unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) were successfully constructed to confirm whether CAD confers protective effects and underlying mechanisms.

Methods: A total of 148 patients who had undergone video-assisted thoracoscope surgery were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups: a group in which the periportal end of the DLT was fixed with tape (group I; = 74) and a group in which the periportal end of the DLT remained unfixed (group II; = 74). Both groups were given an intravenous induction for double-lumen endobronchial intubation and then moved from a horizontal position to a lateral position, after which the alignment of the bronchial cuffed end of the DLT was assessed using a fiberoptic bronchoscope.
In this protocol, a copper-catalyzed desymmetric protosilylation of prochiral diynes was developed. The corresponding products were obtained in moderate to high yields and enantiomeric ratios. This approach provides a simple method for synthesizing functionalized chiral tertiary alcohols in the presence of a chiral pyridine-bisimidazoline (Pybim) ligand.
