G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) constitute a diverse and crucial family of membrane receptors, regulating a wide array of physiological processes. Although the involvement of GPCR signaling pathways in modulating key genes associated with insecticide resistance has been documented in various insect species, the molecular mechanisms underlying GPCR-mediated resistance in Cydia pomonella remain largely unknown. To elucidate the molecular basis of lambda-cyhalothrin (LCT) resistance in C.

The BRAFV600E mutation drives papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) progression and therapy resistance, yet its downstream effectors remain incompletely characterized. Here, we identify secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) as a novel dedifferentiation biomarker in BRAFV600E-mutant PTC through integrated multi-omics analyses and functional validation. SLPI expression was significantly elevated in BRAFV600E-mutant tumors and correlated with advanced TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and poor survival.

Background & Aims: Fibrosis-4 Index (FIB-4) is a noninvasive tool for assessing liver fibrosis in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). However, its role of dynamic FIB-4 for assessing fibrosis progression and predicting clinical outcomes remains unclear. The aim of this study was to examine the association between changes in FIB-4 and changes in liver stiffness, fibrosis progression, and outcomes in MASLD.

Background: /purpose: The trigemino-cardiac reflex (TCR) is a brainstem reflex characterized by sudden reductions in heart rate (HR) and mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) following trigeminal nerve stimulation. Although well-documented in other surgical fields, its role during dental procedures remains unclear. This study examined the association between routine dental interventions and TCR using an experimental animal model.

Background: Effective blood pressure (BP) control necessitates sustained adherence to self-care regimes; however, adherence can be undermined by excessive treatment burden. The longitudinal dynamics between treatment burden and self-care behaviours remain less understood, with particularly limited understanding of how the temporal relationship may influence BP control.

Objective: This study sought to examine the temporal relationship between treatment burden and self-care while investigating their collective longitudinal impact on both systolic BP levels and hypertension control.

Glutamine synthetase (GS) is a pivotal enzyme crucial for the synthesis of glutamine (Gln), an important precursor in amino acid biosynthesis, essential for the growth, development, and reproduction of insects through its involvement in nitrogen metabolism. Despite its recognized significance in insect biology, the specific functions of GS in aphids have not been fully elucidated. Here, we cloned and characterized two GS genes, RpGS1 and RpGS2, from Rhopalosiphum padi and analyzed their expression profiles and explored the contribution of RpGS to aphid fecundity.

Although upper and lower respiratory tract diseases coexist, studies discussing the relationship between chronic rhinitis (CR) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are limited. Fluticasone nasal sprays are common treatment options for patients with rhinitis. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the effects of fluticasone nasal spray on patients with both CR and COPD.

Background: Flight in insects is essential for behaviors such as courtship, foraging, and migration, with energy metabolism serving as its primary energy source. Previous study indicates that high-dose X-ray irradiation compromises the flight capacity of male Cydia pomonella moths utilized in sterile insect technique (SIT) programs. However, the underlying mechanisms of this phenomenon have not been fully understood.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate possible serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] cutoffs for the associations between 25(OH)D and Bone turnover markers (BTMs), and how GC gene variation influences such cutoffs in Chinese women of childbearing age.

Methods: In total, 1,505 non-pregnant or non-lactating women (18-45 years) were recruited from the 2015 Chinese Adult Chronic Disease and Nutrition Surveillance. Serum 25(OH)D, osteocalcin (OC), procollagen type 1 N-terminal propeptide (P1NP), β-CrossLaps of type 1 collagen containing cross-linked C-telopeptide (β-CTX), and single nucleotide polymorphisms were determined.

Objective: This study explores the anti-atherosclerosis (AS) effects of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD), focusing on its regulatory effects on the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammatory pathway, gut microbiota metabolites, and mitochondrial autophagy. Through the triple regulatory mechanisms of gut microbiota, the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammatory pathway, and mitochondrial autophagy, this study explores a novel strategy for stabilizing vulnerable AS plaques.

Materials And Methods: The active components of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD) were detected using LC-MS/MS.

In vitro inner ear organoids gene therapy has advanced medical development, yet extracting inner ear primary cells (IEP) remains complex and needs to scarify mice. IEP cells contain multiple cell types, including progenitor cells, which can differentiate into hair-progenitor or neuro-progenitor cells. Accurate cell detection is essential to understand cell interactions and optimize culture conditions, ultimately reducing the sacrifice of mice.

Backgruound: Diabetic macrovascular and microvascular complications often coexist and may share similar risk factors and pathological pathways. We aimed to investigate whether 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk, which is commonly assessed in diabetes management, can predict incident diabetic nephropathy (DN) and retinopathy (DR) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Methods: This prospective cohort study enrolled 2,891 patients with clinically diagnosed T2DM who were free of ASCVD, nephropathy, or retinopathy at baseline in the Guangzhou (2017-2022) and Shaoguan (2019-2021) Diabetic Eye Study in southern China.
