G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) constitute a diverse and crucial family of membrane receptors, regulating a wide array of physiological processes. Although the involvement of GPCR signaling pathways in modulating key genes associated with insecticide resistance has been documented in various insect species, the molecular mechanisms underlying GPCR-mediated resistance in Cydia pomonella remain largely unknown. To elucidate the molecular basis of lambda-cyhalothrin (LCT) resistance in C.

The BRAFV600E mutation drives papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) progression and therapy resistance, yet its downstream effectors remain incompletely characterized. Here, we identify secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) as a novel dedifferentiation biomarker in BRAFV600E-mutant PTC through integrated multi-omics analyses and functional validation. SLPI expression was significantly elevated in BRAFV600E-mutant tumors and correlated with advanced TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and poor survival.

Background & Aims: Fibrosis-4 Index (FIB-4) is a noninvasive tool for assessing liver fibrosis in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). However, its role of dynamic FIB-4 for assessing fibrosis progression and predicting clinical outcomes remains unclear. The aim of this study was to examine the association between changes in FIB-4 and changes in liver stiffness, fibrosis progression, and outcomes in MASLD.

Although well-documented in other surgical fields, its role during dental procedures remains unclear. This study examined the association between routine dental interventions and TCR using an experimental animal model.

The longitudinal dynamics between treatment burden and self-care behaviours remain less understood, with particularly limited understanding of how the temporal relationship may influence BP control.
Objective: This study sought to examine the temporal relationship between treatment burden and self-care while investigating their collective longitudinal impact on both systolic BP levels and hypertension control.
Overwintering performance limits the distribution range and yield of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum). Systematic research on the overwintering strategies of wheat is lacking. We conducted a detailed analysis of structural, physiological, and metabolic changes in the wheat leaves of plants growing at coordinates 36°11'N, 117°7'E from autumn to the following spring.

We examined the association between plasma Lp(a) concentrations and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in MASLD, stratified by the severity of liver fibrosis.
Methods: This study enrolled patients with MASLD from two centres.

Objective: Exploring whether ultra-brief pulse electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) reduces the occurrence of postoperative delirium in patients with schizophrenia (SCZ), and its effects on cholinesterase, inflammatory markers, and hippocampal neural metabolites.
Methods: From August 2022 to August 2023, inpatients at the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Nanjing Medical University diagnosed with SCZ according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (Tenth Edition ICD-10) and aged 18-55 years were studied. Patients were randomly divided into ultra-brief pulse (UBP) and brief pulse (BP) groups, receiving ultra-brief pulse ECT (pulse width 0.
Glutamine synthetase (GS) is a pivotal enzyme crucial for the synthesis of glutamine (Gln), an important precursor in amino acid biosynthesis, essential for the growth, development, and reproduction of insects through its involvement in nitrogen metabolism. Despite its recognized significance in insect biology, the specific functions of GS in aphids have not been fully elucidated. Here, we cloned and characterized two GS genes, RpGS1 and RpGS2, from Rhopalosiphum padi and analyzed their expression profiles and explored the contribution of RpGS to aphid fecundity.

Objective To assess the blood pressure control and its influencing factors among hypertensive patients in communities in different time periods by 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(24 h ABPM)and provide reference for optimizing the health management services for hypertension in communities. Methods A total of 765 hypertensive patients registered in the hypertension management project of national essential public health services in Sanxiang Town,Zhongshan City from October 2022 to September 2023 were identified as target subjects. The 24 h ABPM devices were distributed for blood pressure monitoring and a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the influencing factors of blood pressure control.

Previous study indicates that high-dose X-ray irradiation compromises the flight capacity of male Cydia pomonella moths utilized in sterile insect technique (SIT) programs. However, the underlying mechanisms of this phenomenon have not been fully understood.

Methods: In total, 1,505 non-pregnant or non-lactating women (18-45 years) were recruited from the 2015 Chinese Adult Chronic Disease and Nutrition Surveillance. Serum 25(OH)D, osteocalcin (OC), procollagen type 1 N-terminal propeptide (P1NP), β-CrossLaps of type 1 collagen containing cross-linked C-telopeptide (β-CTX), and single nucleotide polymorphisms were determined.
Objective: This study explores the anti-atherosclerosis (AS) effects of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD), focusing on its regulatory effects on the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammatory pathway, gut microbiota metabolites, and mitochondrial autophagy. Through the triple regulatory mechanisms of gut microbiota, the TLR4/NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammatory pathway, and mitochondrial autophagy, this study explores a novel strategy for stabilizing vulnerable AS plaques.
Materials And Methods: The active components of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD) were detected using LC-MS/MS.
Background And Aim: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection has long been a significant global public health concern, with antibiotic resistance becoming increasingly severe. Gastric fluid qPCR detection can provide information on H.

IEP cells contain multiple cell types, including progenitor cells, which can differentiate into hair-progenitor or neuro-progenitor cells. Accurate cell detection is essential to understand cell interactions and optimize culture conditions, ultimately reducing the sacrifice of mice.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop and validate a robust predictive model for accurately identifying migraine without aura (MWoA) individuals from migraine patients.
Methods: We recruited 637 migraine patients, randomizing them into training and validation cohorts. Participant's medical data were collected such as demographic data (age, gender, self-reported headache characteristics) and clinical details including symptoms, triggers, and comorbidities.
Backgruound: Diabetic macrovascular and microvascular complications often coexist and may share similar risk factors and pathological pathways. We aimed to investigate whether 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk, which is commonly assessed in diabetes management, can predict incident diabetic nephropathy (DN) and retinopathy (DR) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Methods: This prospective cohort study enrolled 2,891 patients with clinically diagnosed T2DM who were free of ASCVD, nephropathy, or retinopathy at baseline in the Guangzhou (2017-2022) and Shaoguan (2019-2021) Diabetic Eye Study in southern China.
Aims: To assess the extent to which biomedical outcomes and cardiovascular risk profile were improved in the management of Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes enrolled in the metabolic management center (MMC) program.
Materials And Methods: We performed propensity score matching of diabetic patients in the MMC program for at least 12 months to those with diabetes under usual primary care, based on age, sex, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level, and diabetes duration. Difference-in-difference analysis was conducted to compare changes in biomedical outcomes, attainment of treatment targets, and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk reduction.

Natural scene exposure is a promising intervention for relieving cognitive fatigue, but the efficacy of virtual reality (VR) simulated natural scene exposure is unclear. We aimed to investigate the effect of VR natural scene on cognitive fatigue and further explored its underlying neurophysiological alterations with electroencephalogram (EEG) microstates analysis.
