Background: MRI assessment for extraprostatic extension (EPE) of prostate cancer (PCa) is challenging due to limited accuracy and interobserver agreement.
Purpose: To develop an interpretable Tabular Prior-data Fitted Network (TabPFN)-based radiomics model to evaluate EPE using MRI and explore its integration with radiologists' assessments.
Study Type: Retrospective.
Background: Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by necrotizing small-vessel inflammation, frequently complicated by severe anemia and progressive renal injury. Anemia, affecting 73-92% of AAV patients, arises from multifactorial mechanisms including renal dysfunction, chronic inflammation, and iron dysregulation. Despite conventional immunosuppressive therapies, refractory anemia remains a significant challenge, with limited strategies targeting inflammation-driven hepcidin dysregulation.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) exhibit significant potential in enhancing the wireless communication coverage and service quality of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) systems due to their superior flexibility and ease of deployment. However, the rapid growth of tasks leads to transmission queuing in edge networks, while the uneven distribution of user nodes and services causes network load imbalance, resulting in increased user waiting delays. To address these issues, we propose a multi-UAV collaborative MEC network model based on Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA).

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is frequently attributed to the lack of effective early diagnosis and incorrect timing for treatment, resulting in a high incidence rate and mortality. Currently, there is no precise clinical treatment available for AKI. In this study, we developed a good approach utilizing injured renal cell membrane-coated ICG/CORM-401 nanosystem (IRICP), which can specifically target to the injured kidney site through homologous targeting of the injured renal cell membrane.

Neurons in distinct spinal cord segments serve specific functions, raising questions about whether human spinal cord-derived neural stem cells (hscNSCs) retain segment-specific properties crucial for spinal cord injury (SCI) repair. We established a culture system amplifying hscNSCs from cervical, thoracic, and lumbar segments, revealing segment-specific transcriptional profiles and differentiation potentials. Notably, thoracic hscNSCs exhibited elevated hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) expression inherited from the pre-ganglionic column, enhancing their differentiation into motor neurons.

There is no safe level of exposure to air pollution, including particulate matter smaller than 2.5 µm (PM), to human health. Whilst it is well known that exposure to heavily polluted air is associated with several liver disorders, it is unclear how long-term exposure to low-level traffic-derived PM affects liver health.

Methods: A total of 10,260 patients with RCC who underwent surgical resection were retrospectively collected. Two hundred and forty-one patients (median age, 56.
Objectives: To evaluate the diagnostic value of the clear cell likelihood score (ccLS) integrated with cystic degeneration or necrosis on renal MR imaging for diagnosing clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) in cT1 solid renal masses (SRMs).
Methods: This retrospective study consecutively enrolled patients with pathologically confirmed SRMs who underwent MRI at the First Medical Center of the Chinese PLA General Hospital between January 2022 and February 2024. Three radiologists independently scored all cT1 SRMs using ccLS and ccLS integrated with cystic degeneration or necrosis (cn-ccLS), with discrepancies reconciled by consensus.
Network embedding, an effective method for learning low-dimensional representations of nodes, plays a crucial role in various network learning scenarios. However, existing network embedding learning methods fail to learn node embeddings from the perspective of the implicit network, leading to embeddings that only incorporate neighborhood details from neighboring nodes across various levels. In this paper, we propose a network embedding model based on the non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) framework, called Dual-structure Community Preserving Network Embedding (DCPNE), where the dual-structure means that it not only considers the explicit structure of the network, but also constructs the implicit structure of the network.

Purpose: To investigate whether MR subtraction imaging improves interobserver agreement and diagnostic performance in the Bosniak classification of T1-hyperintense CRMs.
Study Type: Retrospective.

The current deformation scheme used in the 4D printing of ceramics has several disadvantages, such as a poor deformation capacity, high process complexity, and the poor mechanical properties of the product. In order to solve these problems, the deformation scheme introduced in this study utilizes the pyrolytic expansion of polyurethane and the resulting pores to hinder the contraction of the specimen during the ceramization stage. Then, the specimen is composited with a polyurethane-free portion that has a high rate of shrinkage, and deformation is initiated through the interlayer stress mismatch generated by the difference in the shrinkage of the different layers, thus enabling the preparation of complex structural ceramics.

Introduction: Limited treatment options are available for residual locally advanced cervical cancer after concurrent radio-chemotherapy. Pembrolizumab has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to treat patients with persistent, recurrent, and metastatic cervical cancer. However, it is expensive and not covered by medical insurance in China.

The factors influencing the mobilization and bioavailability of HgS-NPs formed in flooded or drained paddy field-like systems are complicated and remain unexplored to date. Here, we show that ferrous sulfide (FeS) as an important mineral substance plays a crucial role in the dissolution and transformation of HgS-NPs in overlying water or during the drainage stage, as well as their bioavailability toward rice.

Background: Skincare cosmetics have long been central to daily facial care routines, while recent years have seen a surge in the popularity of home beauty devices. Consumers increasingly seek more effective and efficient results from their beauty regimens while also expressing concerns about the potential risks of certain beauty procedures. Although various technological devices have been developed to meet these demands, research on the interactions between beauty devices and cosmetic products remains limited.

From September 2021 to January 2023, 90 subjects were recruited: 30 with DKD, 30 with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and 30 normal controls (NCs). Serum metabolites, including 180 different metabolites, were analyzed using untargeted metabolomics UPLC-MS/MS, and gut microbiota were assessed via 16S rRNA sequencing.

Neurological dysfunction following stroke presents a significant challenge for patients. Recent studies suggest that angiogenesis can improve neurological function and enhance neuronal survival after ischemic stroke. Dexmedetomidine exhibits neuroprotective effects through various mechanisms; therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether it promotes angiogenesis and improves neurological function after stroke.

Although studies have shown connections between gut microbiota and several gastrointestinal diseases, there is still inadequate information on gut microbial alterations in foals during diarrhea. In this study, we conducted 16S rRNA and ITS gene amplicon sequencing to investigate gut bacterial and fungal differences between healthy and diarrheic foals.

In the history of magnetochemistry development, lanthanide-transition (3d-4f) heterometallic compounds have been considered an attractive candidate for magnetic refrigerants. Herein, a series of heterometallic compounds have been designed and templated by CO anions, that is, {[LnNi(L)(CO)(HO)]·HO} [Ln = Gd (. Gd2Ni) = Sm (.
