Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a life-threating syndrome characterized by sudden loss of kidney function, and its management is challenging and often suboptimal. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have shown promise in AKI therapy in pre-clinical and clinical trials; however, their clinical application still faces many challenges. MSC-derived small extracellular vesicles (sEV) may help overcome these challenges.

Decoding DNA methylation sites through nanopore sequencing has emerged as a cutting-edge technology in the field of DNA methylation research, as it enables direct sequencing of native DNA molecules without the need for prior enzymatic or chemical treatments. During nanopore sequencing, methylation modifications on DNA bases cause changes in electrical current intensity. Therefore, constructing deep neural network models to decode the electrical signals of nanopore sequencing has become a crucial step in methylation site identification.

However, its role in allergic rhinitis (AR) is still unclear.
Methods: In the present study, we defined low-density neutrophils as CD14CD11BCD15LOX-1 (LOX-1 neutrophils), and their levels in the peripheral blood (PB) were evaluated and compared between patients with AR and healthy donors using flow cytometric analysis.

Previous studies showed that serum amyloid A (SAA) and macrophages were associated with allergic airway inflammation. However, the interaction between SAA1 and macrophages in allergic airway inflammation remains to be further elucidated. In this study, the levels of SAA1 were measured in nasal tissues from patients with eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), house dust mite (HDM)-treated BEAS-2B cells and the tissues of mice of HDM-induced allergic airway inflammation.

In this study, we identified 967 MB survival-related genes (SRGs) using a gene expression dataset and the Cox proportional hazards regression model. Notably, the SRGs were over-represented on chromosomes 6 and 17, known for the abnormalities monosomy 6 and isochromosome 17 in MB.

Control experiments revealed that coordination-directed method of quinazolinone moiety with copper(I) was important for the selective hydroamination-cyclization of alkynes at the N1-atom instead of N3-atom of quinazolinone. The reaction could be easily performed at gram scales and some prepared indole-fused pyrazino[1,2-a]quinazolinones with donating groups on the indole moiety showed a distinct fluorescence emission wavelength with blue shift under the acid conditions.

Backgrounds: Allergic airway inflammation is prevalent worldwide and imposes a considerable burden on both society and affected individuals. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic advantages of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) overexpressed interleukin-10 (IL-10) for the treatment of allergic airway inflammation, as both IL-10 and MSCs possess immunosuppressive properties.
Methods: Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived MSCs were engineered to overexpress IL-10 via lentiviral transfection (designated as IL-10-MSCs).
Background: Psoriasis is a systemic immune-mediated chronic inflammatory skin disease; its systemic manifestations and periodic recurrence negatively affect a patient's quality of life. Inflammatory cytokines are known to have an important role in the onset and progression of psoriasis, however, data on the association between circulating inflammatory cytokines and psoriasis risk is inconclusive. Here, we explore the relevance of circulating proinflammatory factors to the pathogenesis of psoriasis using a meta-analysis.
