Background: The epidemiological pattern and disease burden of type 2 diabetes have been shifting in China over the past decades. This analysis described the epidemiological transition of type 2 diabetes in the past three decades and projected the trend in the future three decades in China.
Methods: Age-, sex-, and year-specific incidence, prevalence, death, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) for people with 15 years or older and diabetes or high fasting glucose in China and related countries from 1990 to 2021 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease.
Objective: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is intricately linked to pulmonary fibrosis, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates whether CH25H/25-hydroxycholesterol (25-HC) promotes pulmonary fibrosis in COPD by modulating AMPK/STAT6-dependent M2 macrophage polarization.

Objectives: To investigate the expression of signal recognition particle 14 (SRP14) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its clinical significance.
Methods: The data of SRP14 expression in HCC were obtained from bioinformatics study, and from investigation with quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), immunohistochemical staining and Western blotting in clinical samples. The Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to determine the associations between mRNA expression and the overall survival, progression-free survival, and disease-specific survival of HCC patients.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), formerly defined as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), is a disorder marked by the excessive deposition of lipids in the liver, giving rise to a spectrum of liver pathologies encompassing steatohepatitis, fibrosis/cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
