Folium (AAF) is a traditional medicinal and edible material. However, the pharmacologically active compounds and quality control of AAF have not been fully investigated. To solve these problems, we developed a novel method based on HPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap-HRMS for rapid identification of chemical compounds in AAF.

Current research focuses mainly on individual species (parasite or intermediate host), neglecting systematic evaluation of the transmission chain and exposure risks to animal husbandry. Thus, comprehensive studies are urgently needed, especially in the ecologically fragile alpine region of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau; (2) Methods: Distribution data of spp.

The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (2000-2021) was utilized to gather cases and extract data. We performed a multivariate analysis using a Cox proportional-hazards model to identify prognostic factors independently affecting OS.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute lung injury (ALI) is a lung disease characterized by pulmonary edema caused by an excessive inflammatory response within the lungs and disruption of the alveolar capillary barrier, with a high morbidity and mortality rate in critically ill patients. Dry powder inhalers (DPI) are an effective way of administering medication to improve efficacy, and inhalation administration not only improves efficacy but also increases the bioavailability of the drug. Synephrine, a natural ingredient derived from the fruit of the citrus plant in the , has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

This study analysed the spatiotemporal evolution of PM-related mortality and death rates in China using risk attribution methods based on PM-component and population data. The study used a LightGBM model based on Bayesian and SHAP algorithms to identify the concentration thresholds at which the components of PM affect mortality.

While some studies suggest Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides (GLP) can improve cognitive function, such as Alzheimer's disease. However, the effects of GLP on FA-exposed cognitive dysfunction and the regulation of GLP on brain metabolic disturbances caused by FA remain unclear.

The development of efficient and reliable acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts represents a crucial step in the process of water electrolysis. RuO, a benchmark OER catalyst, suffers from limited large-scale applicability due to its tendency toward the less stable lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM). This work reports the synthesis of Co-doped RuO nanosheets with a unique porous morphology composed of interconnected grains via a facile molten salt method.

Natural antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are promising candidates for the development of a new generation of antimicrobials to combat antibiotic-resistant pathogens. They have found extensive applications in the fields of medicine, food, and agriculture. However, efficiently screening AMPs from natural sources poses several challenges, including low efficiency and high antibiotic resistance.

Initially, 66 volatile compounds were detected using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Tangerines were distinguished from other citrus cultivars (mandarins, sweet oranges, hybrids) by having higher volatile oil extraction rates and higher relative contents of o-Cymene, α-Terpinene, d-α-Pinene, Terpinolene, γ-Terpinene, l-β-Pinene, and 3-Thujene.

Peptidomics was employed to systematically analyze the characteristic peptides in Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum and its adulterants and establish a method for distinguishing Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum from its adulterants, including the gizzard membranes from ducks, geese, and pigeons. UPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap-MS was combined with multivariate statistical analysis to analyze the peptides in Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum and its adulterants. The structures of peptides were identified by pNovo combined with manual recognition of spectra, and synthetic peptide standards were used for validation.

Lung cancer is a major public health challenge and, despite therapeutic improvements, is the first leading cause of cancer worldwide. The current cure rate from advanced cancer treatment is excessively low. Therefore, it is of great importance to identify novel, potent and less toxic anticancer agents for the treatment of lung cancer.

In the context of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), characterized by dysregulated lipid metabolism in hepatocytes, the quest for safe and effective therapeutics targeting lipid metabolism has gained paramount importance. Sanhuang Xiexin Tang (SXT) and Baihu Tang (BHT) have emerged as prominent candidates for treating metabolic disorders. SXT combined with BHT plus Cangzhu (SBC) has been used clinically for Weihuochisheng obese patients.

Background: Understanding the spatial distribution of active compounds can effectively evaluate the quality of decoction pieces of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Traditional methods are economical and practical but lack chemical information on the original distribution. Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), with the advantage of non-destructive detection of samples, can directly analyze the distribution of chemical compounds on the surface of various samples.
