Objective: To systematically evaluate the effect and safety of the combination of Compound Xuanju Capsules (CXC) and Western medicine (WM) in the treatment of type Ш prostatitis complicated by ED.
Methods: We searched for randomized controlled trials (RCT) on the treatment of type Ш prostatitis complicated by ED with CXC+WM or WM in the Chinese and English databases CNKI, VIP, Wanfang Digital, Duxiu Academic Search and Chaoxing Electronic Book Information Retrieval, Fangzheng Apabi Electronic Book, Google Scholar Search, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and others from their establishment to April 2024. According to the Cochrane Handbook requirement, we subjected the identified RCTs to meta-analysis using the RevMan 5.

This study aimed to evaluate the safety and durability of transcatheter closure of anastomotic leak (AL) after ascending aortic (AAo) surgery. From 2016 to 2021, we performed transcatheter closure for 22 patients aged 56.9 ± 12 years (19 male, 86.

Aortic models were reconstructed from CTA images, and multi-phase displacement data were obtained via image registration. The inverse finite element method (iFEM) was applied to calculate wall tension, and displacement data was used to calculate wall strain, from which strain-tension curves were fitted.

Methods: Data were analyzed for 200 consecutive patients with uncomplicated acute type B aortic dissection from February 1992 to July 2022, including 147 with initial OMT and 53 undergoing TEVAR at index hospitalization. Baseline, intraoperative, and postoperative data, survival, and (re)intervention were compared between the two strategies.

Aim: The American Heart Association (AHA) proposed Life's Essential 8 score (LE8) in 2022 as a new metric for cardiovascular health (CVH). This study investigated the association between the LE8 score and the development of carotid artery plaque.
Methods: Data were drawn from the Asymptomatic Polyvascular Abnormalities Community (APAC) cohort study.
Topological phases are robust against weak perturbations, but break down when disorder becomes sufficiently strong. However, moderate disorder can also induce topologically nontrivial phases. Thouless pumping, as a (1+1)D counterpart of the integer quantum Hall effect, is one of the simplest manifestations of topology.

Methods: Of 381 adults aged 54.8 ± 12.
To investigate the association between area deprivation index (ADI) and aortic valve replacement (AVR) in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS). Patients aged 40-95 years with severe AS confirmed by echocardiography were included. The 9-digit zip code of patient residence address was used to identify the ADI ranking, based on which patients were divided into 5 groups (with Group E being most deprived).

Objectives: The prevalence and aetiology of acute aortic dissection type A (AADA) in patients ≤30 years is unknown. The aims of this clinical study were to determine the prevalence and potential aetiology of AADA in surgically treated patients ≤30 years and to evaluate the respective postoperative outcomes in this selective group of patients in a large multicentre study.
Methods: Retrospective data collection was performed at 16 participating international aortic institutions.

As an approach to coronary artery ostial injury in type A aortic dissection and infective endocarditis, we describe a technique of coronary ostial repair using a ring-shaped bovine pericardial patch. The inner and outer rims of the patch were sutured to the involved coronary ostium (to close the ostial tear) and to the aortic wall (to cover the sinus), respectively. Four patients were successfully managed and computed tomographic coronary arteriogram at follow-up showed patent coronary ostia and arteries.

We seek to investigate the impact of baseline and persistent poor sleep quality on short-term poststroke anxiety and depression.

Objectives: Data are scarce and mixed regarding the impact of preoperative dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) on the surgical outcomes of acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD). We seek to evaluate the impact of DAPT on bleeding-related events and early- and mid-term mortality after total arch replacement and frozen elephant trunk in such patients.
Methods: This study comprised 48 ATAAD patients on preoperative DAPT and 418 without DAPT (the whole series, i.
Background: Although obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is prevalent among patients with aortic dissection, its prognostic impact is not yet determined in patients undergoing major vascular surgery. We aimed to investigate the association of OSA with hypoxaemia and with prolonged intensive care unit (ICU) stay after type A aortic dissection (TAAD) repair.
Methods: This retrospective study continuously enrolled 83 patients who underwent TAAD repair from January 1 to December 31, 2018.
Background: The blood pressure of cervical spondylosis (CS) patients with hypertension often returns to normal after decompressive cervical surgery (DCS). However, the effect of DCS on the blood pressure of patients with CS has not been rigorously studied.
Methods: We recruited 50 consecutive CS patients with hypertension from 2014-2017 and investigated the changes in blood pressure after DCS using a time series design.
