Among lung cancers, non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common type. Evidence demonstrates that abnormal expression of circular RNAs (circRNAs) is associated with cancer progression through interactions with RNA-binding proteins (RBPs). Therefore, further elucidation of the role of circular RNAs may provide new therapeutic targets for NSCLC patients.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs), known for their stability and conservation, contribute to TME remodeling in various cancers. This study aims to investigate the role of N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-modified circZNF548 in the proliferation and migration of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) within the TME.

Methods: The ALI model was induced in mice using LPS. The effects of DEE on lung wet-to-dry weight ratio (W/D), bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) protein levels, and neutrophil infiltration (neutrophils) were assessed.
Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is one of the common malignant tumors worldwide, and the 5-year survival rate remains unsatisfactory. Reliable prognostic biomarkers are needed to provide references for personalized treatment of patients. Some studies have shown that disulfidptosis-related genes (DRGs) are closely associated with tumorigenesis and development.

Methods: The (Q+M/MnOx)@Clip system was evaluated to enhance the release of quercetin, investigate its ability to target cancer cells, alleviate tumor hypoxia, and improve the efficacy of chemodynamic therapy (CDT). Tumor hypoxia markers and immune response activation were assessed, along with the impact on pain relief biomarkers.

As an iron-dependent novel form of cell death caused by the accumulation of lipid peroxides, ferroptosis has been gradually recognized as a new cancer therapeutic target in recent years. Although the precise mechanisms underlying iron-induced cell death remain incompletely elucidated, this study identifies its distinctive role. A decrease in hepatocyte nuclear factor 4-alpha (HNF4α) activity could increase ferroptosis in breast cancer (BC) cells both in vitro and in vivo.

However, conventional cancer therapies primarily target tumor cell destruction, often overlooking the management of cancer pain. Thus, there is an immediate necessity to develop therapeutic agents that can both suppress tumor growth and alleviate cancer pain.

In recent years, ozone has become one of the key pollutants affecting the urban air quality. Direct catalytic decomposition of ozone emerges as an effective method for ozone removal. Field experiments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of exterior wall coatings with ozone decomposition catalysts for ozone removal in practical applications.

Approximately 60%-90% of patients with advanced cancer experience debilitating pain. Therefore, a comprehensive treatment system that combines cancer pain suppression and tumor treatment could provide significant benefits for these patients.

However, diabetic foot ulcer is often accompanied by decreased muscle function, even resulting in muscle atrophy. During wound repair, monitoring muscle function at the wound site in real time can identify the decreased muscle strength timely, which is crucial for precise wound rehabilitation.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the targeted delivery of FeO NPs modified with transferrin (Tf) compared with photothermal treatment for lung cancer.
Methods: The morphology and properties of Fe3O4 NPs modified with Tf were tested by internal morphological characterization experiments including transmission electron microscopy, particle size meter infrared spectrometer and other experiments.

Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the function of novel circular RNA hsa_circ_0036683 (circ-36683) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: RNA sequencing was used to screen out differentially expressed miRNAs. Expression levels of miR-4664-3p and circ-36683 were evaluated in lung carcinoma cells and tissues by quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).

The VWA domain commonly functions as a crucial component of multiprotein complexes, facilitating protein-protein interactions. However, limited studies have focused on the systemic study of VWA proteins in plants. Here, we identified 28 VWA protein genes in Arabidopsis thaliana, categorized into three clades, with one tandem duplication event and four paralogous genes within collinearity blocks.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), a prevalent complication of diabetes mellitus, may result in an amputation. Natural and renewable hydrogels are desirable materials for DFU dressings due to their outstanding biosafety and degradability. However, most hydrogels are usually only used for wound repair and cannot be employed to monitor motion because of their inherent poor mechanical properties and electrical conductivity.

Cancer immunotherapy has emerged as a novel therapeutic approach against tumors, with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) making significant clinical practice. The traditional ICIs, PD-1 and PD-L1, augment the cytotoxic function of T cells through the inhibition of tumor immune evasion pathways, ultimately leading to the initiation of an antitumor immune response. However, the clinical implementation of ICIs encounters obstacles stemming from the existence of an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and inadequate infiltration of CD8T cells.

This study aimed to construct a new nanoparticle (CaCO-polydopamine-polyethylenimine, CPP) to effectively deliver interleukin-12 (IL-12) and suppress cancer progress through immunotherapy.
Methods: The size distribution of CPP and its zeta potential were measured using a Malvern Zetasizer Nano-ZS90.

Precise determination of the absolute ultraviolet (UV) absorption cross section of gaseous HONO lays the basis for the accurate measurement of its concentration by optical methods and the estimation of HONO loss rate through photolysis. In this study, we performed a series of laboratory and field intercomparison experiments for HONO measurement between striping coil-liquid waveguide capillary cell (SC-LWCC) photometry and incoherent broadband cavity-enhanced absorption spectroscopy (IBBCEAS).
