The rapid and ultrasensitive detection of holds strategic significance for food safety surveillance and public health protection systems. This study innovatively developed a label-free biosensing platform based on the synergistic integration of Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR)-Cas12a and the fluorescent deoxyribozyme Aurora for the efficient detection of foodborne Salmonella. The detection mechanism operates through a molecular cascade reaction: target-activated Cas12a protein specifically degrades Aurora deoxyribozyme via its trans-cleavage activity, thereby abolishing the enzyme's catalytic capability to convert 4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate (4-MUP) into the highly fluorescent product 4-methylumbelliferone (4-MU).

Overexpression of uridine-cytidine kinase 2 (UCK2), a key enzyme in the pyrimidine salvage pathway, is implicated in human cancer development, while its regulation under nutrient stress remains to be investigated. Here, we show that under glucose limitation, AMPK phosphorylates glycinamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase (GART) at Ser440, and this modification facilitates its interaction with UCK2. Through its binding to UCK2, GART generates tetrahydrofolate (THF) and thus inhibits the activity of integrin-linked kinase associated phosphatase (ILKAP) for removing AKT1-mediated UCK2-Ser254 phosphorylation under glucose limitation, in which dephosphorylation of UCK2-Ser254 tends to cause Trim21-mediated UCK2 polyubiquitination and degradation.

This study is aimed at assessing the impact of soluble dietary fiber inulin on the treatment of diabetes-related chronic inflammation and kidney injury in mice with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) is one of a major complication that affecting the long-term survival and living quality of patients after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, with the incidence of 30%-70%. High concentrations of cobalt chloride (CoCl) can induce the formation of polyploid giant cancer cells (PGCCs) in various tumors, which can produce daughter cells with strong proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities via asymmetric division. To study the role of hypoxia‑inducible factor (HIF) 1α in the formation of PGCCs, colon cancer cell lines Hct116 and LoVo were used as experimental subjects. This study aims to evaluate the effect of berberine-based carbon quantum dots (Ber-CDs) on improving 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-induced intestinal mucositis in C57BL/6 mice, and explored the mechanisms behind this effect. Thirty-two C57BL/6 mice were divided into four groups: normal control (NC), 5-FU-induced intestinal mucositis model (5-FU), 5-FU + Ber-CDs intervention (Ber-CDs), and 5-FU + native berberine intervention (Con-CDs). This study evaluated the anti-inflammation effect of the three main short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) on -induced THP-1 cells. The three main SCFAs could inhibit -stimulated THP-1 cell NF-κB pathway activity and the expressions of NLRP3 inflamma-some and GSDMD, and increase autophagy.
