This paper studied the effect of a new type of nano-pesticide on the control of rice blast (Magnaporthe oryzae) disease. In this study, AZOX/CS-graft-SA (azoxystrobin/chitosan-salicylic acid) nanoformulations were prepared, and the inhibitory effects of different concentrations on rice blast fungus and effects on rice growth and development were determined. The results showed all three drugs could effectively inhibit fungal growth, and the higher the concentration, the more significant the effect.

We assessed the evidential value of the large literature ( = 643-825 studies) investigating the mortality salience (MS) hypothesis from terror management theory, employing a multitool assessment approach. First, we reviewed and evaluated recent efforts to replicate past experiments testing the MS hypothesis, summarizing the conflicting evidence and arguments to the evidential value of the MS literature. Next, we performed a random effects meta-analysis on the MS literature using multiple bias-correction meta-analytic techniques, including selection models, precision-effect test and precision-effect estimate with standard errors, weighted average of adequately powered studies and weighted least square, as well as the more recently developed -curve and -curve.

Background: Dinotefuran (DNF) is a neonicotinoid insecticide with strong systemic, poisoning and gastric toxicity, which is no cross-resistance with the existing pesticides, but its toxicity to environmental organisms such as bees and earthworms is high. The ability to accurately encode the temporal information of sensory events and hence to make prompt action is fundamental to humans' prompt behavioral decision-making. Here we examined the ability of ensemble coding (averaging multiple inter-intervals in a sound sequence) and subsequent immediate reproduction of target duration at half, equal, or double that of the perceived mean interval in a sensorimotor loop. With magnetoencephalography (MEG), we found that the contingent magnetic variation (CMV) in the central scalp varied as a function of the averaging tasks, with a faster rate for buildup amplitudes and shorter peak latencies in the "half" condition as compared to the "double" condition.

Background: CPEB1 is an alternative polyadenylation binding protein that promotes or suppresses the expression of related mRNAs and proteins by binding to a highly conserved Cytoplasmic Polyadenylation Element (CPE) in the mRNAs 3'UTR.
