Background: The adoption of large language models (LLMs) in both clinical and consumer healthcare settings has surged exponentially. However, there remains limited evidence on their reliability and impact in cardiovascular practice.
Objectives: This scoping review was designed to consolidate the existing biomedical literature on applicability, reliability, and quality improvement strategies for the integration of LLMs into the cardiovascular domain.

This study aims to explore potential biomarkers correlated with the clinical outcome only in patients with intraoperative hypothermia undergoing cardiac surgery. The clinical data of patients with or without intraoperative hypothermia, and 8 blood indicators both in preoperative and intraoperative periods, were obtained from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV database. The associations of indicators with the length of hospital stay (LOS) were explored in non-hypothermia and hypothermia groups, respectively.

Background: Post-hepatectomy portal vein thrombosis (PH-PVT) is a life-threatening complication; however, the available literature on this topic is limited.
Aim: To examine the incidence, risk factors, and outcomes associated with PH-PVT.
Methods: Medical records of patients who underwent hepatic resection for various diseases between February 2014 and December 2023 at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital affiliated with Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) were retrospectively reviewed.
Background: The International Study Group of Pancreatic Surgery has established the definition and grading system for postpancreatectomy acute pancreatitis (PPAP). There are no established machine learning models for predicting PPAP following pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD).
Aim: To explore the predictive model of PPAP, and test its predictive efficacy to guide the clinical work.
Objectives: This study aimed to systematically develop a nurse-led complex intervention to enhance the quality of and adherence to home-based cardiac rehabilitation (HBCR) care for patients who have undergone transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). The intervention integrated stakeholder perspectives, expert insights, empirical evidence, and theoretical frameworks.
Methods: We initially searched for initial cardiac rehabilitation strategies based on the "Behavior Change Wheel" model and literature review.
Background: Patients with poor prognosis after TAVR surgery require high-quality cardiac rehabilitation. Digital home-based rehabilitation based on real-time information intervention can improve outcomes. However, the parameters of the text message intervention, such as text message content, intervention duration, text message frequency, and other parameters, may vary.

Databases including Embase, PubMed, Web of Science Core Collection, the Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wan Fang, Wei Pu, and China Biological Medicine were queried from their respective dates of inception to 1 June 2023, to examine multivariate models for prognostic prediction in HFpEF. Both forward and backward citations of all studies were included in our analysis.

Objective: This paper aims to provide a review of the use of virtual reality in cardiac rehabilitation.
Background: Can virtual reality technology improve outcomes in patients with cardiovascular disease? The question is still open.
Design: Systematic review and meta-analyses.
Protein citrullination is one type of protein post-translational modification. Previous methods entail the use of a strongly acidic condition (pH <1), which impedes its exploration under physiological and pathological conditions. Here, we developed a biocompatible method based on -boron-assisted citrulline modification.

Methods: From November 1, 2018, to October 31, 2019, the clinical data of 1277 patients with acute coronary syndrome and percutaneous coronary intervention retrospectively were collected. After screening by exclusion and rejection criteria, a total of 936 patients finally entered the study.
Garcinia biflavonoid 1 (GB1) is one of the active chemical components of and is reported to be capable of reducing the intracellular lipid deposition, which is the most significant characteristic of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. However, its bioactive mechanism remains elusive. In the current study, the lipid deposition was induced in HepG2 cells by exposure to oleic acid and palmitic acid (OA&PA), then the effect of GB1 on lipid metabolism and oxidative stress and the role of regulating PPARα in these cells was investigated.

The lithium-selenium (Li-Se) battery has attracted growing interest recently due to its high energy density and theoretical capacity. However, the shuttle effect and volume change during cycling severely hinder its further application. In this work, we report a metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived nitrogen-doped core-shell hierarchical porous carbon (N-CSHPC) with interconnected meso/micropores to effectively confine Se for high-performance Li-Se batteries.

Secondary mesostructured defects in the hierarchical TiO microspheres produce oxygen vacancies, which not only significantly enhance photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methylene blue (1.7 times that with P25) and acetone (2.

Objective: To establish the analytical method for the fingerprint of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma by HPCE-DAD and estimate its quality.
Methods: Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma were analyzed and the chromatographic fingerprint were determined by HPCE-DAD. The data were analysed by fuzzy cluster and fingerprint similarity evaluation software was used to compare the similarity of samples.
Background: Central neurocytoma accounts for 0.1% of primary brain tumor that often occurs in young adults. Surgery is the main treatment for central neurocytoma and the rate of 5-year survival reaches up to over 90%.

Methods: Nine selected VEGFA single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were genotyped in 311 patients with brain arteriovenous malformations (BAVM) in a Chinese population. Associations between individual SNPs/haplotypes and the hemorrhage risk of BAVMs were evaluated using logistic regression analysis.
