Water evaporation constitutes a ubiquitous physical phenomenon. This natural process enables efficient energy and resource harvesting through water interacting with materials with tailored structural, chemical, and thermal properties. Here, this work designs an evaporation-driven fabric (e-fabric) that enables the utilization of water-electricity-lithium from brine through three optimized functional layers.

Initially, it was considered as a feasible solution to replace the harmful bisphenol A with structurally similar bisphenol S (BPS). However, with the deepening of research, BPS has also been pointed out to have similar endocrine-disrupting effects and physiological hazards to bisphenol A. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an efficient and convenient method for BPS detection.

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the most significant challenges to global public health. Vaccine development is a critical strategy for the prevention and control of TB. However, evaluating the protective efficacy of TB vaccines faces numerous challenges, particularly in the selection of animal models and bacterial strains.

In this paper, a lanthanide complex-based fluorescent sensor Tb(4-MBA) was developed for the selective recognition of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and the diabetes biomarker β-hydroxybutyric (β-Hb). β-Hb significantly enhanced the fluorescence emission of the Tb(4-MBA) complex at 539 nm. Based on the analysis of the surface electrostatic potential distribution and time-resolved spectra, we speculate that in the reaction system of β-Hb with Tb(4-MBA), β-Hb and Tb(4-MBA) may form a complex through hydrogen bonding interactions, which brings β-Hb closer to Tb and thus reduces the non-radiative energy loss of the solvent molecules to Tb and significantly enhances the Tb(4-MBA) fluorescence intensity.

This study investigates the complex interplay between ultrasound characteristics (C-TIRADS), psychological resilience, and anxiety manifestations in TN patients, addressing a critical gap in psychosomatic thyroidology.
Methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study, 303 consecutive TN patients (mean age 47.
Aphids (Hemiptera: Aphididae) are well-known agricultural pests, affecting global crop production both through direct feeding and as the vector of multiple plant viruses. The classification of citrus aphid species was outdated and limited within the Zhejiang Province, China. A comprehensive investigation was conducted to determine the aphid species associated with citrus cultivars from 2019 to 2024.

The heart, as one of the critical target organs in sepsis, is significantly impaired, which substantially increases the risk of mortality. Recent studies have increasingly highlighted the role of dysregulated inflammatory responses in the pathogenesis and progression of sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction (SIMD).

However, the physiological mechanisms by which trauma and stress influence OCD remain unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate whether inflammation and thalamic functional connectivity mediate the relationship between trauma, stress, and the development of OCD.

Understanding the changes in fish swimming ability and identifying the driving factors behind these changes is vital. In this study, seven endemic fish species from the Qingshui River, an important tributary of the upper Pearl River in Southwest China, were used to explore the effects of biological and environmental factors on fish swimming ability.

Interest in renewable methanol produced from green hydrogen and CO has given particular momentum to the exploration of efficient catalysts. Although the newly developed InNiC/FeO catalyst, derived from the InO-NiO/α-FeO system, shows significant potential as a catalyst for the CO hydrogenation to methanol reaction, a comprehensive understanding of the chemical and structural origins that are inherently linked to catalyst synthesis is still insufficient. Herein, the study is focused on the effect of α-FeO precursors on catalyst performance of as-obtained InNiC/FeO.

Objective: To understand the epidemiology and evolutionary characteristics of human adenovirus (HAdV) infecting children in Yancheng, China, during the winter of 2023-2024.
Methods: HAdV-positive throat swab samples were collected from pediatric patients in Yancheng. The Hexon, Penton base, and Fiber genes were amplified and sequenced for typing and phylogenetic analysis of HAdV.
Background: Self-supervised methods for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reconstruction have garnered significant interest due to their ability to address the challenges of slow data acquisition and scarcity of fully sampled labels. Current regularization-based self-supervised techniques merge the theoretical foundations of regularization with the representational strengths of deep learning and enable effective reconstruction under higher acceleration rates, yet often fall short in interpretability, leaving their theoretical underpinnings lacking.
Purpose: In this paper, we introduce a novel self-supervised approach that provides stringent theoretical guarantees and interpretable networks while circumventing the need for fully sampled labels.

Traditional damping materials often fail to meet these demands because of a trade-off between damping and mechanical strength. We introduce an innovative strategy to fabricate armored polymer-fluid gels (APFGs) that combine high damping and high modulus for effective damping and impact protection under extreme conditions.
