Background: Migraine is associated with an increased cardiovascular risk, including hypertension. Anti-calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are effective preventive treatments, but concerns have been raised about their potential hypertensive effects. Herein, we assess the early changes in blood pressure (BP) during anti-CGRP mAbs treatment in patients with migraine using 24-h Holter monitoring.

Objective: To assess differences in characteristics and outcomes between patients with first diagnosed AF and known AF.
Methods: A post hoc analysis of 2 prospective registries from Europe and Asia.
Aims: Congestive heart failure (CHF) is often coexisting in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), but the clinical epidemiology of this association is still uncertain. We aimed to analyse characteristics, management, and outcomes of patients with and without CHF, in a real-world cohort of patients with AF.
Methods And Results: From the GLORIA-AF Registry Phase III, which enrolled adults with a recent diagnosis of AF and a CHA2DS2-VASc ≥ 1, we analysed factors associated with CHF at baseline, the association of CHF with use of oral anticoagulants (OAC) and other treatments, and the risk of adverse outcomes during a 3-year follow-up.
Aims: Prolonged right ventricular pacing (RVP) increases the risk of cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, heart failure (HF), and mortality. This registry-based trial compared left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) with RVP in patients younger than 65 years.
Methods And Results: Using the ConTempoRary Cardiac Stimulation in Clinical practicE: lEft, BivEntriculAr, Right, and conDuction System Pacing (TREEBEARD) registry (NCT06324682), patients were randomized 1:1 to LBBAP or RVP.
Falls pose concerns for the management and prognosis of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Epidemiological data on patients with AF who fall are limited. From the prospective global GLORIA-AF Registry Phase III study, we evaluated patients with a recent diagnosis of AF and CHADS-VASc score ≥ 1 according to previous history of falling at baseline.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is increasingly diagnosed early, close to its first occurrence due to: (i) increased public awareness with self-screening; (ii) health care initiatives including population screening and opportunistic case finding; and (iii) increased use and surveillance of implantable cardiac devices. At its onset, AF is often low burden, and cardiovascular co-morbidities may be absent or at an early stage. Thus, the management of recent-onset AF has become an issue of growing importance.

Background And Aims: Due to the aging population in Europe, a significant increase in the incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) is anticipated. This is predicted to have a detrimental impact on public health costs, particularly among the elderly, because of an increased number of stroke cases. Early detection of AF is crucial for initiating treatment with oral anticoagulants (OACs) to reduce the risk of stroke.

Background: Diving is a diffused recreational activity, and the number of divers carrying cardiac implanted devices is similarly growing. Due to the lack of guidelines or technical indications, the suitability of such devices for diving or the fitness to dive for these patients still needs to be determined.
Objective: This work summarizes implantable cardiac devices' suitability for recreational diving, technical vulnerability factors, and recommendations to improve implanted divers' safety.
Introduction And Objectives: Increased physical activity may improve outcomes in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), but available data are limited. This study aimed to analyze the association between physical activity and major adverse outcomes in a large European AF cohort.
Methods: We used data from a prospective, observational, large-scale multicenter study of AF in European patients, involving 27 countries and 250 centers.
The 2024 European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) Summit in Warsaw focused on the digital transformation of arrhythmia management, convening over 130 stakeholders from academia, industry, and policy. This review summarises the current state (in 2025) and future directions of digital health in arrhythmia care, including remote monitoring (RM) of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), mobile health (mHealth), artificial intelligence (AI), and integration into the European Health Data Space (EHDS). RM has become central to CIED follow-up, improving outcomes and reducing healthcare use.

Background: The role of female sex in stroke risk and oral anticoagulant (OAC) use in atrial fibrillation (AF) remains controversial. This study evaluates sex-specific differences in OAC prescription, residual risk of stroke/TIA and thromboembolism (STE), and the predictive performance of CHA₂DS₂-VASc vs. CHA₂DS₂-VA scores.

Objective And Methods: We assessed the association of SCAF progression to clinical atrial fibrillation or SCAF > 24 hours with adverse outcomes and predictors of SCAF progression.
Results: During follow-up (4.
Aims: The HEAD2TOES schema was introduced to identify modifiable risk factors (RF) for atrial fibrillation (AF), including heart failure (HF), physical inactivity (PA), and sleep apnea (SA). Modern implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) can detect SA, assess HF status, and measure daily PA. This study investigates the relationship between atrial high-rate episodes (AHREs) and ICD-detected surrogates for these RF in HF patients.

Methods: An online survey (n = 321) of cardiologists, cardiac electrophysiologists and interventional electrophysiologists was conducted in Germany (DE; n = 83), Italy (IT; n = 95), Sweden (SE; n = 60) and the United Kingdom (UK; n = 83) including 96 questions on treatment practices.
Results: ESC guidelines were the most important non-patient factor influencing treatment practice (55-72 %).
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most prevalent cardiac arrhythmia, and it is associated with substantial morbidity, mortality, and economic burden. Effective management of AF remains a critical focus in contemporary medicine, given its complex and multifaceted nature. In the present paper, we provide the essential updates for everyday clinical practice from the 2024 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines for AF management.

Here we conducted a cluster-randomized controlled trial across 70 centers in six countries to understand if a program for the education of healthcare professionals could improve patient-level adherence to clinical practice guidelines on atrial fibrillation (AF). Each center recruited patients with AF seen in routine practice (total N = 1,732), after which the centers were randomized, accounting for baseline guideline adherence to class I and III recommendations from the European Society of Cardiology on stroke prevention and rhythm control.

Aims: How to detect and monitor left ventricular thrombus (LVT) remains complex since clinicians can rely only on retrospective, single-centre data. To characterize the incidence and independent associates of LVT resolution (assessed with echocardiography) and its clinical implications on long-term follow-up in a contemporary cohort of consecutive patients with LVT.
Methods And Results: Ten centres were involved in this observational prospective multicentre study.
Background: Patients with heart failure undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) are a heterogenous and complex population.
Objective: To identify different clusters of patients with CRT-D and to evaluate the associations with clinical outcomes, using cluster analysis (CAs).
Methods: Three agglomerative hierarchical CAs were performed in CRT-D patients seen between 2010 and 2019 in French hospitals.
Background: Electrophysiology (EP) procedures, including cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and ablations, are widely used to manage arrhythmias and heart failure. These interventions, though effective, require substantial resources, prompting the need for systematic economic evaluations to inform healthcare decision-making.
Methods: A systematic review of studies from 2007 to 2024 was conducted in two phases.
