is a genus of helicosporous hyphomycetes with the potential to produce bioactive secondary metabolites. During a survey of helicosporous fungi in Guizhou and Hainan provinces, southern China, four isolates were obtained from both freshwater and terrestrial habitats. Based on combined analyses of multigene phylogenetic data (ITS, LSU, 1-α, and 2) and morphological characteristics, two novel species, and , are proposed.

However, emerging evidence indicates that unintended pro-metastatic effects may offset the therapeutic benefits of HDACis. Chen elucidate this paradox, demonstrating that TSA-induced hyperacetylation activates the BRD4/c-Myc/ER-stress axis, thereby promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

Objective: To determine the differential expressions of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and messenger RNA (mRNA) in normal and asthenospermia (AS) men and analyze their biological significance in AS.
Methods: We isolated and extracted total RNAs from 9 normal and 9 AS sperm samples, determined the expressions of RNAs in the sperm using the DNBSEQ sequencing platform, and analyzed their relevant functions by gene ontology enrichment (GO) and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway (KEGG) analyses.
Results: An average of 10.
In this study, we utilize the phase separation phenomenon between polycarbonate (PC), poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF), and polystyrene (PS) to fabricate two types of micro-nano structures, PC:PS, and PVDF:PS. We investigate the optimization mechanisms of two micro-nano structures in green phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) by using electroluminescence (EL), normalized viewing angle ratio tests, and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations. The results confirm that improvements in both the viewing angle ratio and light extraction efficiency are due to the optimized internal light field distribution.

Human-to-human transmission of the disease has been documented, but the mechanisms of transmission require further investigation.
Methods: Epidemiological investigations and genetic analyses of the patients were conducted, and a retrospective cohort study was performed to analyze potential risk factors for person-to-person transmission.

T-Cell-derived extracellular vesicles (TcEVs) play key roles in immune regulation and tumor microenvironment modulation. However, the heterogeneity of TcEV remains poorly understood due to technical limitations of EV analysis and the lack of comprehensive data. To address this, we constructed TcEVdb, a comprehensive database that explores the expression and cluster of TcEV by the SEVtras method from T-cell single-cell RNA sequencing data.

Objectives: Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19)/influenza poses unprecedented challenges to the global economy and healthcare services. Numerous studies have described alterations in the microbiome of COVID-19/influenza patients, but further investigation is needed to understand the relationship between the microbiome and these diseases. Herein, through systematic comparison between COVID-19 patients, long COVID-19 patients, influenza patients, no COVID-19/influenza controls and no COVID-19/influenza patients, we conducted a comprehensive review to describe the microbial change of respiratory tract/digestive tract in COVID-19/influenza patients.

This study focused on the separation, characterization, content determination, and antiviral efficacy research on colloidal particles with different sizes in Maxing Shigan Decoction(MXSG). The mixed colloidal phase of MXSG was initially separated into small colloidal particle segment(S), medium colloidal particle segment(M), and big colloidal particle segment(B) using ultrafiltration. Further fine separation was performed using size-exclusion chromatography.

Objective: Acute lung injury (ALI) is one of the common and severe complications of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), which is the primary cause of death in intensive care units. Nevertheless, there is a lack of effective treatment for ALI secondary to CPB. -Opioid receptor (KOR) agonists have been demonstrated to improve lung function after pulmonary hypertension.

Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic developmental diseases. The available studies have demonstrated that the occurrence and development of hearing loss is closely related to oxidative damage caused by oxidative stress.Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase (NADPH oxidase,NOX) contribute to the production of reactive oxygen and are classified into seven subtypes (NOX1,NOX2,NOX3,NOX4,NOX5,DUOX1,and DUOX2).

Background: Psychological stress can provoke and aggravate myocardial ischemia, and this stress can even trigger acute coronary syndromes or sudden cardiac death. Therefore, for the first time, this study aimed to investigate the method for establishing a rat model of myocardial ischemia with psychological stress and its evaluation.
Methods: Forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into the sham (S, n=10), myocardial infarct (MI, n=10), psychological stress (MODEL, n=10), and myocardial infarct with psychological stress (MI + MODEL, n=10) groups.
Trichoid sensilla are the most common mechanoreceptors in insects; depending on their distribution, they can act as either exteroceptors or proprioceptors. In this study, the internal structure of the trichoid sensillum from Nilaparvata lugens was studied, using focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB-SEM). We reconstructed a three-dimensional (3D) model derived from the FIB-SEM data set.

Background/aims: Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common consequence of acute kidney injury. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), which is derived from the pentose phosphate pathway, is essential for the proper functioning of essential redox and antioxidant defense systems. Previous studies have indicated that NADPH is responsible for protecting the brain from ischemic injury.
