Introduction: The growing aging population imposes increasing demands on healthcare systems, particularly in managing chronic diseases among older adults. However, existing approaches face significant challenges in integrating multimodal data and analyzing complex disease associations effectively.
Methods: This study proposes an intelligent healthcare platform based on Hypergraph Convolutional Networks (HGCN) to address these limitations.
Tobacco was an important cash crop and model plant, and the senescence (yellowing) of its leaves were essential markers of harvesting and secondary metabolite formation. However, the cellular senescence process and its regulatory mechanisms in tobacco leaves remain unknown. Therefore, we constructed single-cell transcriptome profiles using tobacco leaf tissues at the maturation and senescence stages to clarify the molecular mechanism of the process.

Here, the use of top-down inputs and controlled contextual cues is reported for the de novo fabrication of patterned dense collagen matrices with spatially varying tailored mesoscale structures. Initially, imposed electrical inputs are used to guide collagen triple helix molecules to partially assemble into a dense metastable molten fibril state that can be induced by permissive contextual cues (especially humidity) to undergo further assembly.

Here, we report the use of an engineering integration strategy to develop Janus ACSs with collagen-based multiscale biomimetic skeletons and tissue-adhesion. Specifically, the electro-assembly of collagen is employed to construct the skeleton of Janus ACS that mimics the microstructure and macroscopic morphology of native corneal stroma, ensuring the desired transparency, refractive power and adaptable shape.

A biomarker is an important indicator of a normal physiological or pathological process, or a pharmacological response to a therapeutic intervention. This retrospective study aimed to measure blood biomarkers in wound patients, identify the microorganisms responsible for wound infections and determine their drug susceptibility patterns at a tertiary care hospital in China. The study was conducted between 2022 and 2024, including 279 patients.

However, there is a paucity of epidemiological data concerning the prevalence of candidiasis in developing regions of China. We conducted a retrospective study on patients positive for Candida infections in a tertiary care hospital in Shantou, China, to identify the clinical characteristics and risk factors for candidiasis.

This study, drawing on responses from 333 questionnaires completed by Chinese tourism students, employs the fsQCA method to construct a configurational impact model of learning engagement, exploring the paths and mechanisms of its influence. The study finds that learning engagement among tourism students is shaped by the combined influence of internal and external factors, with internal factors-such as professional cognition, professional evaluations, professional emotions, and academic self-efficacy-playing a foundational and central role.

Background: In China, In China, depression among the oldest-old (aged 80 + years) is a major public health issue. As the gap in development between urban and rural China widens, the aim of this study was to demonstrated whether there are disparities in the incidence of depressive symptoms between the urban and rural oldest-old (aged 80+) in China and to quantify the contribution of relevant influencing factors.
Methods: The study evaluated data on 5,116 oldest adults (female, 55.
Ascites is the most common complication in patients with decompensated cirrhosis. This condition results in a severely impaired quality of life, excessive healthcare use, recurrent hospitalizations and significant morbidity and mortality. While loop diuretics and mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists are commonly employed for symptom relief, our understanding of their impact on survival remains limited.

Cerium-based adsorbents possessed unique advantages of valence variability and abundant oxygen vacancies in hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) adsorption, but high cost and unstable properties restricted their application in Cr(VI) contained wastewater treatment. Herein, a series of bimetallic adsorbents with different cerium/iron ratios (CeFe@C) were prepared by adding inexpensive Fe into Ce-based adsorbents (Ce@C), and the effect of Fe doping on adsorption properties of Ce@C for Cr(VI) was investigated thoroughly. Compared with pristine Ce@C, CeFe@C exhibited excellent removal performance for Cr(VI), and the improved maximum adsorption capacity reached 75.

Their inhibition may cause enhanced susceptibility to infection. IL inhibitors have been employed to control autoimmune diseases and inhibitors of IL-17 and IL-23, for example, have been associated with an elevated risk of infection.

To address this issue, we first performed comparative analysis of genes critical for the development of the pallium (Emx1/2 and Pax6) and subpallium (Dlx2 and Nkx1/2) among 500 vertebrate species.

We quantified tourism efficiency and its decomposition in 63 counties of Zhejiang, employing the bootstrap data envelopment analysis (DEA), hot spot analysis, and quantile regression to explore the spatiotemporal evolution and influencing factors of tourism efficiency, and examine its driving and constraining mechanisms. The results uncovered obvious upward trends in the tourism efficiency of Zhejiang's counties, with the mean value increasing from 0.

Professional identity refers to learners' recognition and understanding of their study programs and is viewed as a dynamic, progressive process consisting of professional cognition, professional emotion, and professional appraisal. Data were collected from 333 tourism students studying at Chinese universities.

However, the intrinsic properties of adsorbents contribute significantly to their adsorption performance, and the relationship between them needs to be clarified. Herein, series of nano-cerium based adsorbents (Ce@Cs) with different surface defects and Ce(III) content were prepared to explore their effects on the Cr(VI) adsorption capacity.

Leaf senescence in tobacco is closely related to leaf maturation and secondary metabolites. Bcl-2-associated athanogene (BAG) family members are highly conserved proteins and play key roles in senescence, growth and development, and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Herein, the BAG family of tobacco was identified and characterized.

In the context of ecological priority and green development strategy, accelerating the upgrading of tourism structure and promoting the development of ecotourism is an important guarantee to achieve green and low-carbon economic growth and high-quality development. On the basis of constructing comprehensive evaluation indicators of tourism development (TD) and green development efficiency (GDE), this study analyzed the impulse response relationship between TD and GDE and the impact effect of TD on GDE in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2000-2018. Findings showed that: (1) During the study period, TD generally exhibited a W-shaped fluctuating upward trend and GDE showed a staggered evolution of upward and downward fluctuations, while both regional gaps of TD and GDE continued to decrease.
