Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, Google Scholar, and Web of Science up to May 2024 to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the efficacy and safety of nicorandil in patients undergoing CAG or PCI. The primary outcome was CIN incidence, while secondary outcomes included, changes in serum creatinine, serum cystatin C, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a small bioactive glycerophospholipid, has been reported to play an indispensable role in the regulation of a wide range of cellular processes, including cell proliferation, morphology, differentiation, invasion, migration, and apoptosis. Besides, it has a diverse role in the development, differentiation, migration, and trafficking of immune cells. The role of LPA in the functioning of immune cells, such as macrophages, natural killer cells, T cells, and B cells has been poorly understood and is still a major thrust area for immunological research.

They are extensively distributed across the transcriptomes of humans and other metazoans. Research has demonstrated their critical functions in multiple cellular developmental processes and diseases, including cancer, cognitive disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders (NDDs).

The objective of this study was to find out the prevalence of QTIP in stable patients of schizophrenia attending the outpatient department/clinic. Methods A total of 88 consenting individuals with schizophrenia aged ≥18 yr of either sex (male or female), who were stable on treatment and adherent to the prescribed medications, were included.

However, the limited availability of intrinsic 2D magnetic materials has driven efforts to induce and manipulate magnetism in otherwise nonmagnetic 2D systems through approaches such as chemical intercalation, defect engineering, and substitutional doping. Herein, we present a facile, method for incorporating 3 transition metals (Cr, Co, and Ni) into the nonmagnetic PtSe sublattice.

Background: Inhibin B (InhB) is secreted by granulosa cells and reflects early follicular activity. While anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and antral follicle count (AFC) are established ovarian reserve markers, the role of bioavailable inhibin B (bio-InhB) in predicting oocyte yield remains uncertain. This is particularly relevant in women with low ovarian reserve, where reliable prediction of ovarian response is clinically important.

Aim: The primary objective of the study was to find out the incidence of QTIP due to the use of antipsychotic drugs in patients with schizophrenia and acute psychosis after two weeks of drug use.
Effective forecasting of the Water Quality Index (WQI) considerably impacts water resource management as well as public health safety. This study proposes a new approach for WQI forecasting using stacked regression ensemble modeling integrated with SHAP (Shapley Additive explanations), a form of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). The model was developed using a dataset of 1,987 water quality samples from Indian rivers (2005-2014), processed through six optimized machine learning algorithms: XGBoost, CatBoost, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Extra Trees, and AdaBoost, combined using Linear Regression as the meta-learner.

The conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone is impaired on account of this enzyme deficiency. The mutations in the steroid 5 alpha-reductase type 2 gene (SRD5A2) result in the deficiency of this enzyme.

Background: Common intracranial vascular abnormalities in Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS) include leptomeningeal venous malformations (LVMs) and enlarged deep veins. A few small studies have reported absent deep veins in some patients. We used susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI), a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequence sensitive to detecting small veins, to evaluate deep cerebral veins and the basal vein of Rosenthal (BVR) and assess the radiological correlates and clinical impact of their absence.

Gastrointestinal cancers represent a considerable global public health burden, due to their high incidence, poor prognosis, and resistance to conventional therapies. Traditional treatments like chemotherapy and radiation often produce side effects and limited efficacy, making targeted therapies even more necessary. Diosgenin, a naturally steroidal saponin found in Dioscorea species, has gained widespread acclaim as an anticancer agent due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cancer-fighting properties.

The hybrid HSNDT combines polynomial and hyperbolic functions that ensure the parabolic shear stress profile and zero shear stress boundary condition at the upper and lower surface of the plate, hence removing the need for a shear correction factor. The plate is made up of carbon fiber bounded together with polymer resin matrix reinforced with MWCNT fibers.
