GP is a promising approach that utilizes genomic markers to estimate genomic-estimated breeding values (GEBVs), facilitating the selection of superior individuals. In this study, we assessed the performance of five GP models- Genomic Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (GBLUP), Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space regression (RKHS) and Bayesian methods (BayesA, BayesB, and BayesC)-for predicting seedling and adult plant resistance (APR) to leaf/brown rust (LR), stem/black rust (SR), and yellow/stripe rust (YR) in wheat using a panel of 347 diverse germplasm accessions.

The rapid evolution of this pathogen has led to the emergence of new virulent strains that can overcome the resistance of commonly cultivated wheat varieties. To address this threat, continuous monitoring of leaf rust pathotypes is conducted in wheat-growing regions across the world.

The UV-Vis absorption, PL-emission, pH independence, size, functional group attached over surface QDs, binding energy, and stability of QDs in aqueous solvent were systematically studied. The TEM results revealed the mean particle size ∼5.

To address this, a diverse panel of 126 wheat genotypes, primarily landraces, was evaluated across twelve environments in India, comprising of three locations, two years and two growing conditions.

In this study, out of 500 studied germplasm lines, a diverse panel of 126 wheat genotypes grown under twelve distinct environmental conditions was analyzed. Using 35 K single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping assays and trait data on five biochemical parameters, including grain protein content (GPC), grain amylose content (GAC), grain total soluble sugars (TSS), grain iron (Fe), and zinc (Zn) content, six multi-locus GWAS (ML-GWAS) models were employed for association analysis.

Wheat, a globally cultivated crop, is a significant source of daily calories for humans. To overcome challenges such as extreme climatic fluctuations, stagnant yields, and diminishing genetic variation, it is essential to develop diverse germplasms with new alleles.

Wheat stripe rust (Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, Pst) is the most damaging wheat disease, causing substantial losses in global wheat production and productivity.

Since micronutrient deficiencies are becoming more common among people who primarily depend upon cereal-based diets, a need for better-quality wheat varieties has been felt. An association panel of 154 lines was evaluated for the following quality traits: grain appearance (GA) score, grain hardness (GH), phenol reaction (PR) score, protein percent, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) sedimentation value, and test weight (TWt).

Therefore, exploring genetic architecture of PM in wheat to uncover important genomic regions is an important area of wheat research.

Objective: We used the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database to study the outcomes of patients who underwent TAVR and developed significant anemia requiring red blood cell (RBC) transfusion.
Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study utilizing the NIS database from 2016 to 2017.

Antiretroviral therapy and HIV itself independently increase the risk of dyslipidemia. While statins are currently the predominant therapy to treat dyslipidemia in HIV patients, drug-drug interactions and adverse drug events can limit their use.

Wheat, an important cereal crop globally, faces major challenges due to increasing global population and changing climates. The production and productivity are challenged by several biotic and abiotic stresses. There is also a pressing demand to enhance grain yield and quality/nutrition to ensure global food and nutritional security.

Methods: A total of 70 patients undergoing thoracotomy were randomly enrolled in either continuous paravertebral nerve block (PVB) group or in continuous paravertebral and intercostal nerve block (PVB/ICB) group and received corresponding blocks. Analgesic efficacy measured by Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain score, hemodynamic effects, total narcotic consumption, sedation score, patient's length of stay in hospital and patient's satisfaction with the analgesic technique were recorded.
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in complex, calcified coronary lesions can be assisted with orbital atherectomy (OA). OA is generally avoided when there are lesions amendable to OA distal to a newly deployed stent due to the risk of device-stent interaction, burr entrapment, and stent avulsion. We present a case documenting the successful passage of an OA system through a recently deployed left main stent to prepare a chronically occluded left anterior descending for PCI.

Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia in patients with underlying malignancy. Patients with cancer have a higher risk of bleeding, and at the same time, carry an elevated risk of thromboembolism related to the hypercoagulable state, type of cancer, and anticancer treatment, rendering safe anticoagulation challenging in this population. Left atrial appendage closure is an alternative treatment option in patients with atrial fibrillation and high bleeding risk; however, the data on patients with cancer are limited.

Stem rust is one of the major diseases threatening wheat production globally. To identify novel resistance quantitative trait loci (QTLs), we performed 35K Axiom Array SNP genotyping assays on an association mapping panel of 400 germplasm accessions, including Indian landraces, in conjunction with phenotyping for stem rust at seedling and adult plant stages. Association analyses using three genome wide association study (GWAS) models (CMLM, MLMM, and FarmCPU) revealed 20 reliable QTLs for seedling and adult plant resistance.
