Introduction: Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) is a complex clinical condition characterized by inadequate response to conventional antidepressant treatments. There is growing evidence that microRNAs (miRNAs) play a role in the underlying pathophysiology of TRD and may offer new avenues for diagnostics and therapy.

Methods: A structured literature review of peer-reviewed publications indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science was conducted.

Background: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis is commonly seen in patients who are immunodeficient or have inflammatory bowel disease. Among the gastrointestinal sites affected by CMV, the colon is the most frequently affected, though rectal involvement is relatively rare. Reactivated CMV proctitis primarily occurs in elderly patients with comorbidities and is quite uncommon in immunocompetent individuals.

Background: The lifelong care responsibilities associated with cerebral palsy (CP) may place significant physical and psychological burdens on parents, which might hinder their quality of life (QOL). Despite their importance, factors affecting parents' QOL in CP cases remain understudied globally, including Jordan. This study aimed to assess the QOL of parents of children with CP and investigate its predictors.

Clinical learning environments and experiences of nursing students in West Bank Universities: A mixed-methods study.

Background: Clinical learning environments (CLEs) play a vital role in shaping nursing students' competencies, yet their dynamics in conflict-affected settings remain underexplored. This study investigated how CLE factors, measured via the Clinical Learning Environment, Supervision and Nurse Teacher (CLES+T) scale, relate to students' clinical learning (CL) experiences across West Bank universities in Palestine. The findings are specific to the Palestinian context but may offer insights for other conflict-affected educational settings.

Physical and mental health well-being of COVID-19 recovered patients: A phenomenological study.

Aim: This study aims to describe the experience of COVID-19 recovered patients' physical and mental health well-being.

Method: A qualitative research approach was employed utilizing an unstructured interview protocol to explore the experiences of individuals recovering from COVID-19. Data were collected from 30 participants who had recovered from a moderate to severe form of the disease, all of whom required hospitalization with oxygen support during their illness.

Talazoparib and radiation enhance the senolytic efficacy of venetoclax in therapy-induced senescent triple-negative breast cancer cells.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) presents ongoing clinical challenges, often leading to relapse in many patients. The relapse is partly explained by tumor cells transitioning into a senescent state following chemotherapy or radiation, resulting in a more aggressive phenotype, contributing to disease recurrence. Consequently, combining senolytics with traditional treatments could be a viable and promising strategy in treating TNBC.

Background: Breast cancer with low expression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) has emerged as a new category benefiting from anti-HER2 therapies. This study evaluated the prevalence of HER2-low expression and concordance of HER2 scoring among pathologists at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Jordan.

Objectives: To determine the prevalence of HER2-low breast cancer tumors and evaluate the interpathologist concordance in HER2 scoring using the 2018 American Society of Clinical Oncology/College of American Pathologists (ASCO/CAP) guidelines.

Cucurbit[10]uril binding of heteroleptic iridium(iii) complexes: synthesis and photophysical characterization.

The supramolecular host-guest interaction between heteroleptic iridium(iii) complexes and cucurbit[10]uril (Q[10]) in an aqueous medium was investigated in this work. Both studied iridium complexes, [Ir(ppy)(bpy-(CHO))] (complex 1) and [Ir(ppy)(bpy-(COOH))] (complex 2), possessed two phenylpyridine ligands and a single R-bipyridine ligand. The formation of the encapsulated species (Q[10]·1 and Q[10]·2) was demonstrated by H NMR and luminescence studies.

The study aimed to establish national DRL for digital mammography (DM) and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) in Jordan, considering variations in compressed breast thickness (CBT) and breast density.

Background: Alcohol use continues to be a global public health concern that significantly contributes to economic burden and increased morbidity and mortality rates. The Dead Sea (DS) area faces critical environmental challenges, including saltwater intrusion (SWI), widespread sinkhole formation, and topographic changes, largely driven by declining DS water levels. These hazards adversely affect the region's stability, hydrosystems, and agricultural facilities. In particular, the Ghor Al-Haditha (GAH) region in southern DS has been severely affected by these challenges.
