Background: In pediatric intensive care units, pain, sedation, delirium, and iatrogenic withdrawal syndrome (IWS) must be managed as interrelated conditions. Although clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) exist, new evidence needs to be incorporated, gaps in recommendations addressed, and recommendations adapted to the European context.
Objective: This protocol describes the development of the first patient- and family-informed European guideline for managing pain, sedation, delirium, and IWS by the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care.

To evaluate long‑term outcomes of corneal patch grafting (CPG) and to determine prognostic factors for anatomical and functional success. This retrospective study included 35 eyes from 35 patients who underwent CPG between April 2016 and September 2022 at Adana City Training and Research Hospital. Collected data included age, sex, preoperative and postoperative best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), graft localization and size, anterior segment findings, graft survival, secondary surgical procedures, and rates of anatomical and functional success.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the reflectivity of the outer retinal layers (ORLs) in patients with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) and to examine the relationship between the dimensions of the subretinal fluid (SRF) and ORL.
Methods: This retrospective, cross-sectional study included 33 eyes of 33 patients with CSCR and 33 age- and gender-matched controls. Unnormalized and relative reflectivities for the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE), the external limiting membrane (ELM), and the ellipsoid zone (EZ), as well as SRF height, base width, and area, were measured on optical coherence tomography images.

Objective: Originally designed to evaluate stroke risk in individuals with atrial fibrillation unrelated to valvular disease, the CHA2DS2-VASc score (Congestive heart failure, Hypertension, Age ≥ 75 years, Diabetes mellitus, prior Stroke/transient ischemic attack/systemic embolism, Vascular disease, Age 65-74 years, and Sex category - female) is now additionally utilized for the prognostic evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive role of the CHA2DS2-VASc score for lesion severity and long-term survival outcomes in individuals with peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Method: This retrospective analysis included 784 patients diagnosed with PAD via computed tomography (CT) angiography, consecutively enrolled from two medical centers.

Background: Brucellosis is a zoonotic and multisystemic disease that is widespread worldwide and can present with many different clinical conditions, ranging from asymptomatic to serious and fatal conditions. Brucellosis may be linked to renal tubular and acute kidney damage, nephrotic syndrome, and various types of nephropathies.
Objective: Our research was carried out prospectively to investigate the relationship between brucellosis and various biochemical markers and particularly to investigate the role of renal tubular damage biomarkers.

Background: Symptomatic dermographism (SD) is the most common chronic inducible urticaria (CIndU) type. Thiol/disulfide homeostasis (TDH) and ischemia-modified albumin (IMA) levels are indicators of oxidative stress.
Aim: Our study aims to investigate the role of thiol/disulfide balance and IMA levels in the pathogenesis of SD.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to investigate the effectiveness of preperitoneal closed suction drainage in reducing postoperative complications in total extraperitoneal (TEP) repair inguinal hernia repair.
Methods: Between May 2021 and February 2023, 125 patients aged 18-80 years who were admitted to our hospital with primary unilateral (PM2, PM3 and PL2, PL3) inguinal hernia were included in preperitoneal drainage (group 1, n = 45) and no drainage groups (group 2, n = 80). Hematoma and seroma size, early postoperative bleeding, postoperative hospital stay, pain score and recurrence were recorded on the 6th day and 3rd month after surgery.

Objective: This study evaluates emergency department (ED) visits within the first 30 days following hysterectomy for benign gynecologic conditions, identifying risk factors and strategies for prevention.
Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis was conducted on 2,119 patients who underwent hysterectomy at a high-volume tertiary center between January 2023 and December 2024. Demographic, perioperative, and postoperative variables were analyzed, and predictors of ED visits were assessed using multivariable logistic regression.

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) and hemodialysis (HD) are the two primary renal replacement therapies for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). While PD is an effective and convenient modality, long-term use can lead to ultrafiltration failure, recurrent peritonitis, and progressive structural alterations in the peritoneal membrane, necessitating a transition to HD. In recent years, rather than a complete transition, the combined use of PD and HD has emerged as a viable alternative, offering potential advantages for selected patient populations.

BACKGROUND Pregnancy-related anatomical and physiological changes, such as mucosal edema and increased oxygen demand, heighten risk of difficult airway, especially under general anesthesia. This study compared effects of spinal and general anesthesia on postoperative airway assessment tests in cesarean deliveries. We hypothesized upper airway changes can occur depending on anesthesia technique.

Background: Ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA) represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, often related to coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD). Identifying non-invasive electrocardiographic markers that predict ischemia in this population remains a clinical priority. P-wave peak time (PWPT), reflecting atrial conduction delay, has been linked to ischemic pathophysiology.

Background: Kienböck's disease poses challenges in plate placement during radial shortening osteotomy due to steep metaphyseal inclinations of the distal radius. While coronal plane analyses have been extensively studied, sagittal plane deformities remain underexplored. This study addresses the anatomical variations in the sagittal plane associated with Kienböck's disease.

Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is frequently diagnosed during reproductive ages, but its impact on pregnancy remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate maternal and neonatal outcomes in FMF pregnancies by comparing before and after diagnosis periods as well as with healthy controls, and to identify predictors of adverse outcomes. This retrospective, cross-sectional study included 215 pregnancies (129 before and 86 after FMF diagnosis) from 81 women with FMF and 94 pregnancies from 42 healthy controls.

Objective: The role of sentinel lymph node dissection in the surgical management of endometrial cancer limited to the uterus is gaining recognition. The safety and applicability of two methods were assessed by examining the results of our patients in the identification of the sentinel lymph node during endometrial cancer surgery. The methods were robotic surgery, a critical component of minimally invasive surgery, and the vNOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery Technique), which has recently been introduced for malignant indications.
