Estimating Health State Utilities for IDH-Mutant Diffuse Glioma.

Background: Isocitrate dehydrogenase-mutant (mIDH) gliomas are malignant central nervous system tumours. After initial resection, patients with mIDH gliomas with favourable prognosis may live without receiving oncologic treatment for years, but ultimately patients will experience recurrence and require radio- and/or chemotherapy (RT/CT). Cost-utility analyses (CUA) can explore the value of treatments that delay recurrence and initiation of RT/CT.

Chronic kidney disease and incident cancer risk: an individual participant data meta-analysis.

Background: Studies examining the association of chronic kidney disease (CKD) with cancer risk have demonstrated conflicting results.

Methods: This was an individual participant data meta-analysis including 54 international cohorts contributing to the CKD Prognosis Consortium. Included cohorts had data on albuminuria [urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR)], estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), overall and site-specific cancer incidence, and established risk factors for cancer.

[Psychological health of oncologists: Determinants and consequences in care].

Introduction: While many publications have been made on burnout of oncologists, few publications have been made on oncologists in France, and none focuses on positive markers of their psychological health. Our study is a national study that studies the role of exercise mode, determinants and consequences of positive markers of psychological health of oncologists in France.

Methodology: The survey was disseminated to oncologists (n=606) by the learned societies or cooperative groups of the different cancer specialties from May to July 2022.

[Prevention and management of heavy uterine bleeding in pediatric patients treated for an acute leukemia: Guidelines of the SFCE leukemia committee].

The harmonization workshops of the leukemia committee of the Société française des cancers de l'enfant (SFCE) aim to establish practical recommendations based on the one hand, on data from the literature and international recommendations and, on the other hand, by consensus in the absence of formally proven data. Adolescent pubescent girls and young adults undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment may present with heavy uterine bleeding (HUB). Data collected from 25 French centers showed that there was considerable heterogeneity in the management of HUB either in prophylaxis or curative strategy.

[The transversal specialized formation in oncology for medical gynecology residents: A five-year review].

Introduction: The transversal specialized formation (TSF) in oncology has been enabling non-oncologist physicians to acquire oncology skills for five years. This study aims to assess the TSF for medical gynecology residents.

Materials And Methods: A 23-item questionnaire was sent to physicians from the specialized medical degree (SMD) in medical gynecology who completed the TSF between 2020 and 2023.

[Evaluation of a consultation dedicated to informal caregivers in a cancer treatment centre].

Introduction: In France, several national strategies have highlighted the importance of identifying and supporting informal caregivers. Given the major multidimensional impact of the caregiving situation in cancerology, the Cancer Center in Lyon, has set up a consultation dedicated to assessing the needs of informal caregivers and providing them with support. The aim of the current study is to assess the uptake of this consultation by informal caregivers and to describe its specific features.

[Acute graft-versus-host disease therapy: Which third line treatment after steroids and ruxolitinib? (SFGM-TC)].

Acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHDa) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) patients. While the first-line consensus treatment has been based on systemic corticosteroid therapy for many years, ruxolitinib has recently been approved and has become the standard second-line treatment. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of ruxolitinib remains limited to 40 % of cortico-resistant patients, raising the crucial question of selecting a third-line treatment.

Background: Ovarian mature teratomas (OMTs) are the most common benign ovarian tumors in pediatric patients. Management in adolescents can be performed by pediatric (PSs) or gynecologic surgeons (GSs). Role for long term treatment in NMOSD induced by the immune checkpoint inhibitor cemiplimab.

We present the case of a 54-year-old patient treated with cemiplimab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI), for multiple basal cell carcinomas in the context of Gorlin Goltz syndrome. Gorlin Goltz syndrome is an autosomal dominant multisystem disorder characterized, among other features, by multiple early-onset basal cell carcinomas (BCCs). After receiving Cemiplimab, she developed aquaporin-4 antibody (AQP4-Ab) positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).
